Woo hoo - After a 6 week break due to poor weather, work has started again. Today, the weather was FINALLY mild enough to get the underside of the bed sprayed - Maybe next week end, I can finally get it wrapped! The plan was, to get it sprayed neutral grey - In this case, Hurricane grey from the Rover range. Once bed wrapped and truck is on the road, I plan to make lightweight, mirror wrapped foamex panels for the recesses in the cover - tacky I suppose, but I want the kinda 90's mini truck vibe.... your thoughts? Anyway - Painted today.       Hopefully, the niggly little jobs can now start be get done. Hoping to have it MOT'd and on the road by April ideally. Thank you for taking an interest. |

Went down to the workshop yesterday to wrap the bed cover.
Epic failure!
It's just such an expanse. Managed to get no more than 6" before we got in trouble with bubbles etc. We used 3m carbon wrap so that was £50 down the pan. I plan to pop into a local signwriting company that also do vans etc to see if they can do it for a sensible price.

Popped back this morning and slapped a coat of matt black onto the aluminum bed top. It can stay that way till it gets MOT'd now. Already looked better!

Right peeps - We are almost roadworthy - I approximate she will me MOT'd and on the road within a fortnight! There, I have said it! The bed won't be wrapped in time BUT - Plans are in place to get it done along with some wild graphics 90's style over the next month or so. IF it is ready, I will take her to Popham hot rod show on Good Friday, if she isn't then her 1st outing will be Central RS day at Santa Pod next month. All the little details still to do can be done once it's home with the hope it can be totally finished before Classic Ford show - bearing in mind this will be my Wife's daily as soon as it is taxed! Just so you all are reminded of 90's style graphics - Have a pic as suggested by another RR'er - It will be quite similar to this I hope...  |

At last nights RSFFE meet, there was an Orange P100 with a Hot Rover V8 Amidships! I kid ye not.
Anyway, in other news, the door cards are fitted, the interior is almost finished. At this rate, she'll be MOT'd over the next fortnight I would hope.
