I have been a bit of a lurker rather than a poster on here for a while now but I thought I would start a thread on my own current car. This has been a round three years in the making and has now been on the road for the last few months.   The car started out as a very neglected traveller shell, with no wood, no engine or gearbox, no interior, well nothing really apart from the rolling shell. Since then I have turned it into a unique panel van by fabricating the entire rear end from the B posts back in steel. I have also let in a split screen roof section and an early steel dash board. Lots of body work followed and eventually a fresh coat of old English white topped off with a healthy dose of red metal flake on the roof. The running gear has been suitably upgraded to match the new exterior. The engine bay is now home to the old Morris minor favorite, the 2.0 fiat twin cam engine and box.   I’m pretty happy with the finished product and have been putting a few miles on it and enjoying it in the good weather. Hope you like what I’ve done with the car and I will put up some photos of the build when I get the chance. I’m not the best with computers so they appear when I can manage to find some spare time. WOW, Just WOW.
You have skills that I havent seen since i read Street Machine magazine in the early 90s.
I love your car, its very classy and in my opinion perfect.
Are those Fuchs wheels?
I will be waiting for the build pictures. Thanks for sharing

I ike this a lot. It took me few moments to work out what was different about it. I clocked the Porsche style wheels straight away, which are a refreshing change on a non VW, but the rest of the car is really subtle and well done. The interior detailing looks very nice too. Shows there are still new things that can be done with familiar base cars.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I will have to have a look for the memory cards that have the build up photos on them and get them posted but as I said that may take a bit of time with computer skills.

That looks truly amazing!! Great work indeed. It is more a sedan delivery than a panel van in my eyes - like a scaled down (and perfectly formed) early 40's Chevy or Ford sedan delivery. Love it!

I just love the way you have made a van from a traveller but have kept the traveller lines at the back, the spilt screen roof and early dash look so much better, I have a 1958 traveller in standard form that i want to keep original but as you have started from scratch and saved a car i think what you have done is truly a work of art. And as someone has said above build pictures and interior shot of the back would be great to see.
