Howdy peeps! just a little thread idea I've had whilst chilling out on my day off work... basically, when I was a bit younger, I had a classic yellow 1275 clubman from 1973 and I remember my dad saying something like. "In 1973 I was 11 living in Oundle, those were good times boy!" And it got me thinking, where was I when my car was made? And it turns out that in 1991 when my golf was built, I wasn't ACTUALLY born, so I wasn't up to much! Haha So, does anybody have any similar stories? Feel free to share!

1992 Granada - it was built in February and registered in April, so I would have just got a new job, working for Yellow Pages in Slough, and going through the process of buying my first flat. What I wasn't doing was driving, as I hadn't passed my test!

My car was first registered a mere 12 years, 4 months and 4 days before I was born. As to where I was, technically, well don't even think about it!

When my Vitesse was registered (1969), I was still doing the backstroke around my Dads' left testicle
When the 400E was registered (1962), I probably hadn't even got my water wings

You pesky kids don't half make me feel old!
Both my signature cars were registered in 1989. The year my son was born.

1983 BMW, 1984 Mercedes and 1986 BMW - I wasn't even thought about.
2001 BMW - it was registered in March, so I would have been in first year at secondary school. I think the christmas before I'd been given a Motorola 3788e mobile phone, which I thought was the bees knees. It was a brick with an aerial...
2008 BMW - registered 1st September. I would have been on a family holiday in Cornwall. The last proper family holiday I actually went on. I had a P reg Rover 620Si and a Citroen Saxo VTR at the time. Obviously, I took the Rover with me for the holiday.

My Mk1 camper was made in April 1970, I was 5 ( which after reading some of your previous DOB in this thread is ridiculous, even my kids were born before most of you. So would have climbing trees or building dens or summat. My Delorean is 1981, so by then I was 16, so would have been ripping round on my Fizzy & shaggin my first misus
