Done loads of work to this car since owning it: New water pump, long life coolant, stat, cooling system flush, camshaft gasket and oil seals, oil and filter change, new polybush anti roll bar bushes front and rear, new springs all round, new shock gaiters, new disks and pads, new front track rod end and ball joint boots, replacement mohair hood, K and N kit. Probably loads more as well, will have to go through my invoices to check. Everthing works as it is meant to on the car Sills need a bit of welding under the front wings which are off the car presently, oh I bought a new drivers side front wing as well and the plates that clamp them to the bumper. I also have bought paint and thinner which will go with the car. Needs an MOT and tax but since I don't use the car it is on SORN at the moment. Will drive fine onto a trailer. Forgot to mention, this has the 1.6 non interference engine so no worries if the cambelt snaps. It also has power steering, electric windows and the newer ungraded crankshaft (earlier ones had problems snapping shafts).

Could you finish the welding and get a mot on it? With the warm weather, you could ask well over £1000 with a mot, they seem really popular at the moment as a cheap way into rwd japanese fun. They have shaked off the old hairdressers car image and people are taking them as a serious drivers car these days.

Ideally I should, but I have 4 other cars that I tax, MOT and insure and this was going to be my winter project as I have already spent over £800 on it on parts alone.
I am considering doing a MEV project with it as the money spent on it is on mechanical and suspension mainly, just needs cosmetics to make it good.
I will give it to my cousin if it doesn't sell as a doner for the MEV and sell the other parts not required and make the majority of my asking price back.
Thanks for the advice though.
