i bought a mini without seeing it, but i knew the previous owner who had it restored.
it had new tyres, good doors, bonnet, rebuilt 998, new carb, starter, alternator, radiator, and plenty of other usefull spares...it was only £75 but it's totally paid for it's self.
i've not buy another blind though, money is too tight for me sadly.
