Appliance Wire Baskets, would have originally looked thus: Wire 'baskets' bolted onto a centre cap, AFAIK. Quite common over here in the early 1980's. Seth of this parish has/has had a set the same, sans baskets, on his Minx Estate.

appliance probably made and sold more steels than they did alloys- their most popular lines were all chromed steel- the cragar-alike 5 spokes(also available in smaller 4 spoke sizes too), the steel slot-mags, the wiremags, the true wires they made, chrome smoothies, as well as what we know as 'wellers' over here.

Nice find. It's be worth checking very carefully that they *are* 4x100 - there's a good chance that they are in fact 4x4" (101.6mm). It's not a big difference, but it's enough to cause trouble in terms of snapped studs etc. Wobble bolts would be fine, but you'd need spigot rings to centre the wheels. ...are aluminium.
