There's a link to it in one of Jonny's earlier posts in this thread. Looks like something to do with the New Jersey mafia from the avatars...those guys like Town Cars and Escalades - you could'nt get a body into the boot of a Pop!

Excellent stuff Jonny Glad to hear you're enjoying it. The comments on that other forum really do sum up how ignorant most people are these days when it comes down to old cars.

Beautiful car, I'd love to drive something that old daily For now I stick to driving my 1965 VW beetle daily instead, the brakes sounded rather familiar from your description Keep up the great work!

pah they can go drive there modern theres no fun in that. TBH i found last time i drove a modern car any distance i was so bored i kept getting distracted by random thoughts. I'm looking forward to having a go in my mates prefect. out of intrest how many ;D or do you get on your journey? and whats the road name of the steep hill you go up near biggin hill, my workshops up that way and theres a few gooduns about youve seen my car

Don't know the name of the hill, I think it's just Westerham Hill or something but you've got the twisty bit that goes past Biggin Hill airport towards Westerham and eventually you drop down a really long steep hill. Plenty of shock and smiles to be honest. Most of the smiles are from stupid old codgers that have just jumped in front of me on a roundabout and realised I'm very tall, rusty and about to hit them and most of the shock are from women drivers. Looks funny in the carpark though next to all the shiny Jags and Mercs from the company next door

*A round of applause*
If your journey doesn't involve motorways, there's a lot to be said for something old and fun as a summer runaround.
My dad had one just like that in the 1960s (and the car was knackered even back then!) but despite spending most weekends fixing it, he remembers it fondly.
Did they all come with a heater? I'd have thought that was a factory extra or accessory part?
When I drive old cars I feel like I'm on holiday, it's a nice way to drive. Much better than arriving 2 minutes earlier but stressed about the repayments on your 3 Series.

What a sweet looking little thing, havent seen any pics of it for a while, I didnt realise it was so nice.
Can`t believe those guys getting concerned about the safety aspect and saying they wouldnt want to be on the same bit of road! Given the choice between having a mint looking Pop being driven by a guy who isnt going to want to bump it in my rear view mirror or a fibreglassed up VTR or a White Merc Sprinter I know which I`d feel safer with.

The pics don't do it much justice, it's quite knocked about and scratched on the outside but not rusty. That's why I don't mind driving it and leaving it outside because I don't have to worry about the bodywork. I might wash it for Watford Rods on Monday.
Gareth I don't know about the heater. I assumed none of them had heaters.

Used by a local builder. They actually turn up to jobs in it with a back full of rubble
