... when trying to describe the Leeds Classic and American meet. It's just so diverse, literally anything is welcome.
This month was no exception, easily the busiest meet I've ever seen, the carpark was full to rearmost row.
I tried my damnedest to get around and photograph everything, I wasn't completely successful as some cars were just surrounded by folks all evening.
morrisoxide, stealthstylz and myself arrived earlier than ever as the place was already filling up, I knew then it was going to be a good evening.
Obligatory Mercury shots shows it to be as cool as ever.
Ranch Wagon is a Leeds staple, again, super cool
Purple Pop is a regular
Caged Viva has been coming to Leeds longer than me
Heavenly P1800
Psudo-Willys VolksRod, is this a Wizard kit?
I do love this '50 Fleetline.
I've seen this Anglebox around Leeds, beautifully turned out it is too
Bug and Bus combo
No smokey chasing this Bandit
R32 looked hard as nails
I'm feeling the love for these aswell
Well-used truck has plenty of presence
Gorgeous little Mk1 Fiesta
Big Plymouth meant business
One for Mystery Machine
We all agreed this is awesome. It has the feel of a legitimate 40s Hotrod that hasn't been messed with since. So very cool.
Chevy shortbed looks like it's had time and money spent on it in the past.
D90s never get old
Is this Tawny Brown or Roman Bronze?
Stunning Chevrolet truck had great stance, I just couldn't get a decent shot of it.
Now then, this was simply fantastic, straight off the stages, resplendent in mud and after some sort of brief encounter with the scenery. XE powered and rapid with it.
This was rather cool too, judging by the masses of Escort I think someone let the cat of the bag about the ClassicFord photographer being there this evening. Previously owned by vonthrash of this parish.
Flawless Beetle ambles into the carpark
Hairy-chested mans car.
I've taken pics of this Lincoln before, but it always demands my attention...
XR4x4 had a pair of secrets
The more I look at this Consul, the more superbly executed mods I see.
Anybody fancy this for £5k? It looked remarkably solid...
This old Pontiac ran like a swiss watch
There seemed to be an abundance of air-ride there this month, and theres nowt wrong with that.
Great hue on this pickup, last time I saw it was a non-runner a the Silcoates show.
Honest VX4/90 sounded well as it parked up.
£15k gets you this spotless Chevelle SS clone.
Another Leeds regular, a strong sounding mill in this.
Who'd thought 10years ago that this would be of any interest? 2dr wagons are always cool though
Corvair suited big 'minilites' well.
C3 'vette gave me a big want face too
Mixing it with all the kustoms, dubs, yanks and hotrods, were some dependable old english classics, loved this Hillman.
slackerTHEpinstriper, I be believe, sorry I didn't catch you for a natter dude, I was on a mission.
I simply can't decide if this is a parody of the faux-patina brigade or what, but it was plenty low and well turned out regardless.
Z car on the move
and stationary, making that Camaro seem petite.
I had alot of love for this Dodge, if its packing a 440 it could be approaching perfect daily transport
And then suddenly there was a noise in the distance and everyone starting gazing toward the entrance, trying to catch a glimpse of whatever it was that was about to assault our senses. I had heard stories of this car and for once everything I had heard was true.
Ok, back to reality, this Moggy thou was probably better than when it was delivered from the factory
Thames van was not over restored, making it all the better in my eyes.
Another familiar sight. I've spent many a happy hour in this old thing.
TOUGH
Not sure what is in the Capri, be it a Rv8 or a 302, it sounded biblical...
...As did this. I could really get into old trucks.
This gave my Dad the want face, as it should us all.
WIP Commer is slowly getting some love, I totally would.
This must be a rare old thing,
As much as I loved this in its previous guise, this new colour really suit it.
Everyone loves 'Cudas, don't they?
Home built Lincoln powered Hotrod is fabulous. I hope to get more shots of it in the coming months.
Like I said, there were Escort of all kinds dotted about the place...
A pair of cream convetibles, a Buick on the Left and Pontiac on the right
A little bit of Hirst, he must've heard us talking about him as he unexpectedly rocked up a few minutes later...
This pair rocked up just as alot of the others had left, which was fine by me as it meant I could get around them for pictures...
and onto the mean streets on Leeds,
what a stupendously good meet. More next month when I'm hoping to be back under my own power!!
