Well I am more than happy today it was less off a get things done, tacked up and welded session, and more of a in depth tig welding lesson from a close friend who is a coded welder So nothing to report on the Hunter itself, but for a fist ever attempt at rig welding or any apart from arc, I think it went pretty well Hopefully get my friend to weld up the manifold either this weekend or next

THE INTERCOOLER CAME!!!!! Along with loads of stuff lately, but this excites me the most (more than it should have I have to say) I'm actually getting more stuff delivered to my work than the company itself haha, but my boss is taking it quite well Anyway, I won't bore you, here's the pics. I know thats all I ever look for on people's posts Aluminium brackets made up quickly that evening: And on the car, I had to remove the centre support bit but I won't tell if you don't: Just waiting for my friend to take the manifold parts and weld them up for me will post as its done

The shiney bits look smart! It's difficult to tell from the photo angles, but in case you are tight for space under the bonnet ... I removed the fan from my engine (and the fan shroud from the top of the rad) then fitted a slim 'leccy fan in front of the rad. I now have *lots* of space between the engine & rad

Not much to report yet as I haven't been taking pics yet, been too busy playing with my welder, need to rig up some sort of back purging system before I can go any further, but so far I've welded the v-band to the first bend of dump pipe. My first proper attempt at tig welder; My friend informed me he had welded the manifold only to find the flange start going a bit rusty! Turns out it's not even stainless despite eBay saying it was!!!! So have to get a new one before that can progress but things are coming together slowly More soon hopefully

Postman just dropped off some more stuff, mainly a boost controller and some brake hoses for a Hunter that I bought off eBay for £18 even came in the original boxes ha Very pleased with them, almost as good as the Lockheed pads I bought for the minx a while ago

Been progressing more with my welding, trying back purging and weaving techniques. Basically got the down pipe welded up (or should I say down) now!!! My current fusion welding with tig: And how the downpipe is looking so far, minus the flexi joint bit:

Looking good Code! The welding looks quite nice aswell. Are you using a filler rod or just blending them in? If your on Instagram there's a page called 'WeldPorn' No boobies but some very nice welds to drool over!
James.

Too many projects, not enough time.

Hi James the weld there was just fusion, sort of used the pipe itself as the filler ha I am practicing with rod, but ita an added skill to the already hard technique! But I'm getting there On another note, quickly machined spring seat adapters out of ali on Saturday morning, so I can fit the helpers springs to the car now. Have three days off this week so can crack on with things Just a pic of what they look like:

Surely you shouldn't need to go on a course to learn how to speed, don't waste your money. Just push the pedal on the right until blue flashing lights appear in the mirror.
