Got a 3 estate myself and like it alot!
The Vento front is done alot so it seems. Very easy too I guess, only lights, bonnet and grill to change. Or front valance too?

When I saw the title "VW MK3" I feared it was gonna be a Golf owner practicing the embarrassingly "scene" habit of pushing the assumption that a VW means a Golf. As an owner of both a MK2 Golf and a Mk2 Polo, I find it particularly crass, and actually, rude. But I shall put it down to a typo. Because it's not a "scene" model, the estate. Neither in fact, the MK3 Golf, with it's rust and build issues. But I like them, it looks like it was designed from scratch to be an estate and i almost bought a dark blue one recently (got beaten at an auction). Seems their values are on the climb a good ones are getting thin on the ground. Its a purchase based on being a diesel and being able to lug family and dogs around, but with added benefit of being a very good base car that with a drop in altitude and maybe new wheels is quickly a cool ride. To be honest i should of put "cool pics of ANY estates". I don't want it to be scene but then again i also don't agree with the anti VW scene stance that some people take on this forum.

Here here, I was going to scrap the vento front and mangle a mk3.5 cabrio front end onto mine but funds and time elude me, so it hasn't come about. Hadn't seen one before so I thought it a good idea ..... Low and behold a few days later I see someone doing the same !! The vento front is just bonnet lights and grill whereas the mk3.5 is the whole lot, wings grill lights bonnet slam panel bumper you name it !!!!!

Owned by an old girl in sommerset all its life. Garaged for first three untill she moved. So its nearly 20 now and has spent most of that being daily'd and outside. BUT Its perfect. Its my daily and does a load of miles a week!! Has done since last july without one hiccup.. On the other hand, I recently bought another one off ebay, garaged all its life, stupidly looked after, with loads of history and on a P reg But soft as hell! Actually had chicken wire and filler in the rear arches (found out after jacking it up ) and the usual drain plug in the rear footwells had gone right thru.. Luckily i only bought it for the engine and wiring for my T4

Already looking good.
Larger steels with a lower profile and I think you're done!
