I'd been looking for one of these for years, and was chuffed when I bought this from an advert on this forum back in October last year. However, my old Celica GT4-RC is for sale, and I really want it back. I want to keep the Boxster, so with a very heavy heart this has to go unfortunately. 1996 B4 Audi Coupe 2 litre 8v, non quattro. 5 speed manual transmission MOT: March 2015 Tax: end September 2014 Mileage: 130,400 The Good: Low mileage for age Totally solid, no rust. Had a full respray in December by the same guy that did my old Celica. The metallic Byzanz Purple looks great. 17" RS4 alloys sprayed in anthracite in good condition. Huge amount of history, old MOT's, service receipts, tax discs etc. Had a service when it was MOT'd in February New front discs and pads in February Half leather interior VDO gauges (oil pressure gauge slightly intermittent) Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited headlight bulbs fitted. Huge improvement over OEM bulbs. Timing belt replaced at 101,375 miles. Starts first time, drives smoothly and stops well. No rattles or squeaks. Electric windows, mirrors and sunroof (all working). Good on fuel. I get 35mpg up and down the A19 running on Vpower. The Bad (it is nearly 20 years old!): Passenger door doesn't open. I think the lock just needs reattaching behind the door card. Central locking doesn't work. I had an immobiliser fault at Christmas, and it turned out to be a dodgy C/locking pump, which was removed. A £20 part, easily available, just haven't got round to sorting it as the car locks and unlocks with the key. Rear wash wipe doesn't work. Possibly just a fuse. Haven't checked it as it doesn't bother me. Small hole in leather on drivers bolster Some pics:       |

Bump for this.
I was only selling this coupe as I wanted to fund the purchase of my old GT4 when my mate unexpectadly put it up for sale. I missed out on buying that one back, which is why this has been left to languish in the depths of the FS section. Until now.
I've seen another motor I would like, really like, so unfortunately this has to make way.
Anyone?

With help from people who know these B4's, I've twice had a go at getting the passenger door open, without success.
With this in mind I'm willing to drop my asking price by £600 to offers around £900.

An old Audi, taxed till end September, tested until March 2015, low miles, resprayed with zero rot.....for around £900? I know it's got a couple of issues, but they are fixable.
Am I the only one that thinks this is good value? I'd be keeping it if I didn't have the Boxster for the weekend, and the diesel Jag to soak up the 130 mile a day commute.

I think I've only seen three or four out and about since I bought it a year ago. Definately one to keep and appreciate when the time is right again. |

Back up for sale, although I'm now not prepared to take £900-ish for it and lose £700 on this in one year for the sake of a door which is fixable. The car stands me £1650, although I never expect to get back what I paid out. It's in a much better way now than when I bought it, so I'm prepared to lose about £500 on it.
Asking price now £1150.

Free bump for a lovely lovely car. I would very much like this to go with our 80 cabriolet. Same colour, same wheels, same engine. I couldn't justify it at 900 quid, bad month work wise, can't afford it now. Good luck.
