Hey folks,
We're just putting the spit and polish on our advertising schedule for RR Gathering this year, but we're already starting to think about next year (!) and advertising to the right people is really key to keeping the event a nice day out for everyone.
So where do you consume your retro/car related news/info from?

Ive stopped reading magazines personally , there expensive and full of pictures rather than articles - i can read much better online . Can you not advertise on other forums , i mean in car magazines i would often miss a advertisement for a show , chatting on line would genersate more interest .It would be good to promote it as a anything goes , no snobbery etc event which might make a refreshing change to one make shows that other forum users may attend .

/DRIVE on YouTube is pretty cool, the Chris Harris stuff is good because it's not American or Jeremy Clarkson.
Edit: Re-read OP - I read PPC, this month's came with a flier for 'Retro Show' in it. I occasionally get Retro Cars mag but most of the cars are already on here!

I know a lot of people hate it, but social media (Facebook, Twitter, car forums, etc) is certainly where a large proportion of news is spread. Particularly amongst the 'new blood'
Personally, I find (speaking in self employed work mode) that a lot of magazine advertising goes missed, unless you go large! ie, full page!
As I read a magazine, generally I'll skip through the advertising pages to the editorial, so any display advert is gonna have to be big, bold and bright to catch attention

Regulars: PPC magazine on monthly paypal subscription. Retro Ford on subscription (free because I write for it)
Retro Rides Forum (obviously)
Occasional Retro Cars magazine if I see it in the shop and have enough loose change on me Practical Classics (as above)
Manufacturer specific forums depending on what I'm researching at the time for my own projects.

Being a middle aged old curse word, I've never managed to escape my fix of Custom Car, which is on prescription (yes, you read that correctly) along with Retro Cars and Practical Performance Cars.
I pay a visit to Facebook, MailonLine and this 'ere forum on a daily basis, with Fleabay as another regular haunt, especially when I'm in a spontaneous buying spree. YouTube is fun both at home and work (on my breaks, of course!!) and useful for downloading vids to my iPad.
Telly wise, it's Grimm, anything tattoo related, NCIS and CSi and some of the US car restoration / hot rod series. One programme I just can't tolerate is Chop Shop. Just how these two clowns haven't been "chopped" themselves is a bloody miracle!!!

I still lament the loss of Cars and car conversions - best enthusiast aimed car mag ever , that PPC is like it watered down 100 times , it hasnt got a patch on it .

On the subject of Youtube, I've been watching a lot of Best Motoring International lately, not overly retro at times but some awesome driving and tuner cars from Japan, particularly the Hot version shows and the touge showdown. Plus you sometimes get to see Keiichi Tsuchyia hooning about in an AE86, love it As for advertising and other retro related stuff, facebook is where I catch most stuff through the myriad of car pages on there CarThrottle seems to be a site with some good stuff and links to other cool car related stuff too

PPC magazine if I'd find it here (going to check now if they have an e-format), all the rest online. Chris Harris and Bad Obsession Motorsport on youtube, as already said. Then there are the other forums related to cars I drool after (clubgti.com, clubroadster.net mainly), wheel-whores because I'm a nut for rims (but don't own any right now ) Driftworks at times, too. I will now check all the others that have been suggested above )
