well I got it home and its far cooler than I thought! it only has a 4 sp box so its quite amusing running a 2.3 through that! its the carbed version, I thought it would have been injection, plus point to this is it has a manual choke and I havent EVER in 35+ cars had a manual choke one  its quite nippy now I have cleaned the carb, cant wait to see how very very poor it is on fuel in the coming weeks! it was owned by a doctor for 10 years who nearly cried when I took it, bless, and he liked to do his own repairs, as such the sunroof surround was starting to go rust so he rubbed it down and gave it a special coat of hammerite, noice! he also repaired the rear panel with more fibreglass than a tvr factory, look forward to sorting that out. apart from that its all a bit hoodride, adds to the flavour to be honest I am just loving cutting around in it like a lawer in an intense 80's american drama and/or some kind of soccer mom, so i'll be leaving it alone for now. |
