Haha, I ordered a TRW one, it came as allmakes4x4. Its so bloody frustrating, wasting time and money, and totally doubting myself. Also they wont refund the money until it is sent back to the manufacturer for testing. Not happy. Thanks again

Allmakes, you're lucky it fitted at all! Sent from my Allmakes dealership using proboards I cant believe that such wibblepoo can be produced and sold. It surely has to go through standard safety tests/be upto standard etc... I tried to order a genuine one this time - they couldn't get it! So quality all makes it is again, its working at the moment, but for how long who knows. Will try my hardest to avoid sh!tpart/allmakes etc...etc... Doing cambelt tomorrow, wonder if it will fit or snap before its fitted?

Use a Dayco belt (from Britpart) , we get trw cylinders (from Britpart) tensioner and idler (from Britpart) . If you get a part that Land Rover charge £300 for and its £3 from Britpart, there *might* be a difference in quality.....
I would not hesitate in using many Britpart items. Their XD brake pads are very good. I also know when not to use their parts and would advise any of my customers accordingly. The only reason they get a bad rep, apart from brit rhyming with sh*t, is that the parts are cheaply and easily available and very often fitted by people who should not be allowed near a spanner.

That Phil reminds me of the difference between PSA Dayco belts and what you get from GSF for XU engined PSA cars. Alfa 147 arms to suffer the same issue with upper arms (genuine ones last a few years, even Lemforder ones from ECP will barely last a year). If you don't mind me asking, who do you work for? . I was going to suggest the Servo oddly enough, but I have heard from other people of new master cylinders going bad before (in the Stag circles). In that case, suppliers selling NOS stuff was said to be the issue, where the stainless resleeved items appeared to not being suffering from the issue.
