The styling looks nicer than most new cars, but I bet it is much larger than it looks in the pictures. Just like this picture of the New MINI and original Range Rover. That just puts things into perspective Dayum, a mini the size of a Rangey, guess thats why everyone is getting bigger

The last shape Twingo was a properly good car. Apart from overly assisted steering the Sport was probably the most fun car i've driven since my Clio. I have a Twingo 133 cup and they are fantastic little cars and will surprise a few thing on the road. The out and out cups like mine are few and far between as most just have the cup chassis option. A non cup is probably a better every day car.

It will be 4 inches shorter than the current Twingo!
I too am quite excited by it though, it sounds rather special.

It does look interesting. The looks are based on the original Renault 5 and the chassis will be shared with the next Smart ForFour. I think it looks great, but still nothing in the first Twingo.

I just can't see them making a RWD, rear-engined car, sorry But they are! As Welshpug says it actually exists!
Might just be the way I've read this thread, but it seems as though everyone has forgotten the rear engined, RWD Smart Fortwo - it's not exactly a ground breaking idea! Frees up loads of space inside - hopefully something they will fill with errr nitrous bottles and stuff, not just shopping bags. Anyone remember the Twingo Twinrun concept? The good Mr Bizzle has a thread for it here, and Lewis has one here to boot. Sounds pretty good to me, but it'll be needing lots of powar to really tempt me... Wow! I'm just eating a portion of my own hat. I look forward to a tweaked and fettled one. With more power. Naturally.

The looks are based on the original Renault 5 I'm not sure what part of the looks they based on the R5...I think it looks nothing like one.

With the engine in the back it also means it has a turning circle only a Toyota IQ can beat. I've got a basic 1.2l mk2 Twingo. It's a decent little car. The ride is a bit firm but it's still really confortable on long journeys. I'm driving it from Brittany to Hull this summer. Would love to try a 133 though!

The looks are based on the original Renault 5 I'm not sure what part of the looks they based on the R5...I think it looks nothing like one. Renault published it a while back themselves. A quote from Laurens van den Acker, head of industrial design at Renault. Found it just now here, but can't find the article I read a while back. www.carbuyer.co.uk/news/138740/new-renault-twingo-revealed
