No it definitely wasn't a Cressida. It was more big and...bubbly/boxy like the 164, but shorter. I wish I'd been able to swerve across three lanes of ice and traffic to follow it in to the servo. It may well have been a 162, I saw one in Japan. I even saw one in Taiwan along with a 262 and they didn't have their industrial boom until the 70s. Hmmm. I think the Volvos are too big, though. That Toyota Publica looks about right for size AND shape, and it would make sense for some old gaffa to be making a late evening run to the convenience store, through a bunch of sleet, to get his hot coffee in a can and a half price bento for dinner.

Yeah, the cops probably won't take "But officer! Did you SEE that beast?" as a valid excuse. I need to work out a way to stroll around Moss St and take photos of all the old tin without attracting unwanted attention to myself, haha. I saw like 6 cars in a 1km drive this morning before 8am, just between the brew shop and work. Too bad you couldn't have a HD dash cam then pull the pictures off. Or just walk around with a screen printed hi-vis vest that says "Official Photographer", then no one would think anything of it.

Haha. That's prolly a good idea. No one would think twice for sure. Visyprint does free business cards but for the cost of shipping, so knock something up and then if anyone asks, hand them a card. Might get dome more shoots that way, too. As for the HD cam, I could, I can get them on the cheap. But then I'd have to clean my windscreen.

There was this. And then there was this. And then another one of these. And I've seen a few old square Celica's and a couple of other nice bits of tin while driving and unable to take a photo. And then on the way to the shed today I saw one similar to this. Except that it was all caved in along the drivers side roof and the front wing was bent in as well. The culprit was already on the tow truck and just had a bent front wing. I'm guessing the ute went through the intersection and put the FE/FC/FB Holden over on to it's side/roof. Anywho, that's it for now. Cheers, Matt

Just an old Kingswood yesterday. A couple of other cars but couldn't get at them as we were too busy. The boot paint was well baked by the sun.

Sadly this was owned by an absolute curse word of a person. Legitimately thought that herself and the rest of the 'Baby Boomers' actually made Australia better for the next generations... HARDCORE ..thought you might be a fan.. curse word was that a genuine one or a clone/ tribute?

It probably was legit. She seemed enough of an idiot not to know what she had. I can just see it. She would have just walked in to Holden and said 'I want a commodore. And I want all the features." And the salesperson would have rubbed his hands together.
I'd check rego to get the vin but the system is down atm.

Alright, lets catch this up again. In no particular order: I saw another one of these for sale the other day as I was hunting for a new car, I think they have potential, but I'm not sure I could drive a Honda. Plus way too small. Speaking of too small. Ok so this Celica: Is owned by the sister of the girl who makes my subways (maybe not anymore, I haven't seen her for a few weeks). She drives this Corolla: Look, they even have matching fuel flaps. Both cars sourced and looked after by their father who drives my favourite local wagon. So at least it runs in the family. Digging back through photos, it looks like I've posted the Honda before, but ah well. It can stay. This was at the gun range. There was also a Falcon ute but I had hands full of dangerous objects at the time. Apparently my phone doesn't like yellow and sun. See? I told you. This wheel was attached to a Jag. Apparently at the time I didn't deem it necessary to take a photo of the whole thing. I saw a grey Jag for sale while hunting around the other day with the same mags, I know they're not particularly common around here, I wonder if it was the same one? A work in progress. Same old, but sparkley! That's it for now! Oh, and not really a spot, but coming soon to a house near me! Cheers, Matt

Yea it's a only a triumph, owner did say it's a great sleeper most of the engines performance bits are from the states, wouldn't say what it cost only that the motor cost more than his monaro. Built for the odd hillclimb/sprint etc.

Here's a couple form past few days. Seen heaps of cool tin while out driving around in Seedy, but difficult to capture when at the wheel. And a tiny truck! Saw a pretty tidy 260z zipping around today on my way out for lunch, too. Cheers, Matt

I know it'll be super boring over there, but can you keep an eye out for an early 90s Holden Barina for me? I just want to see one in the wild, as it were, and you're ideally situated for the mission.

I see a couple of SB Barina's occasionally but rarely any 2nd gens. But I'll see what I can do.

Well, I haven't spotted any Barina's yet. Just a well used ute. And this wee van. Was quite dark outside, I'm surprised it came out this well, haha.
