Hi,
I am retro fitting air-conditioning into my Volvo 245 and I will need to some custom a/c pipes made up.
Can anyone recommend a source for these?
(Ideally, in Yorkshire or surrounding area, so I can visit and talk face-to-face, but that's not essential).
Thanks
John

Hi, A/C hoses are not the same to hydraulic. Pirtek may do them as the principles are the same. A/C fittings are different and the hoses are neoprene lined, the same as in food production. Go to anyone that does A/C repairs especially bus and coach or plant.

Alternatively get down to a local scrappie and see if you can get some off another car that will fit?

try Trevor at Iscold , www.iscoldautomotive.com/ or try Andy or Steve at Automotive www.automotive-electrical.co.uk/Either will be able to make up either bubble crimped hoses or adapt existing hoses using Lok Ring adaptors. Don't be tempted by 2nd hand hoses as realistically a hose has ten year life span and they will be set in their shape. Last word don't expect it to be cheap, fittings can be very expensive.
