Hope it does put a smile on my face after all this work. Starting to put the drive shaft/hub together. They look a lot stronger than the other one i had made. Hope to sort the fuel system tomorrow. Then it might even run

The drive shafts were made by berrisford.co.uk/index.php/driveshafts.html. Fitted fine stronger and lighter than the originals. They are slightly narrower so i had use some tape to get the boots too hold. The inner and outers CV's are Skylines and the hubs Hardrace 200SX. Got the fuel system nearly sorted only a had a few loose unions. The ASNU injectors fitted straight in without issue, which is not normal for things to do that. I put a Sytec Fuel Pressure Gauge in the the system, i thought the regulator was set at 50-60 psi, wrong 100 psi. That explains why the old injectors were dumping so much more fuel than the 550 cc they are.

pain in the those adjustable regulators. the mapper I use wont allow them, better off with a normal fixed regulator, if you need 60 psi there are ones readily available from vw engines.

I don't think the regulator was at fault it had just been previously adjusted with an old gauge. It seemed to work fine today holding a steady 3 Bar. The injectors were pumping out too much fuel for it to run properly and i didn't have my laptop to alter the main fuel scale on the ECU. Still its off the axle stands for the first time since Jan.

It looks so much more cohesive with the black wheel centres than the chromed spokes, absolutely stunning!

I can't say that I like one more than the other. I like both sets. The black ones look really good too

The black wheels look smaller even though they're both 18" rims. These will be fine on the Dyno when it finally ready. Both sets foul the rear wheel arches so a bit of chopping will have to take place, Rolling the inner flares of the arches isn't an option as i need more clearance, plus one side has got a flare( another poor repair that i didn't notice when it was down to bear metal) .
Does anyone have an Accusump that they no-longer use, I'm thinking it would be good for pre oiling.
See what can be achieved today, I love Bank Holidays.

I couldn't find a soarer rear well sump anywhere but the ls400 front well seems to work pretty well as the gauge has never moved from 5 bar under load on track with an extra 1/2 litre in

Just blundered into this thread from the "how did I miss this one" category. Awesome build,. Humbling
It definitely looks more of an entire design with the alloys, though I loved those wires just for sheer bonkers-ness

The Alloys had to be dished but they where really just for the dyno. The wires would just disintegrate under load as there's no slip. Plus wires are a pain in the rear to keep clean.

Thought the dry sump pump was a goner as the gauge showed "0"psi. So fitted a Stacks capillary gauge to make sure and we have good pressure, so the electric sender must have gone. Finally got hold of an Accusump. Just have to wait for all the fittings to arrive, a lot more of them than I first thought. The engine is still running very rich so ill have to recheck the ecu map and calibrations. Then try again to see if it will run at a decent fueling.

630,s are just over 1% duty at 800rpm batch firing twice per revolution . I've taken a lot of fuel out of the warm up enrichment as once it's run for 30 seconds it will idle quite nicely in the low 13,s afr

On my link ecu i lowed the Master fuel down to 4ms, the lowest. It was still v rich. I have re calibrated a few things like the MAP, that's now in Kpa rather than PSI and the internal Barometric reading is almost exactly the same as the input MAP at rest.
The AFR reading of the gauge and ecu are almost the same now, o.1 difference at rest. There quite a few errors in the ECU Log which have to be checked, below error values and of inputs not assigned.
I did try reducing the warm up as well. I'll wait for all the bits to arrive before i try to run it again, as I've emptied the oil tank. I was intending to replace a pipe fitting but after emptying the tank and opening the bag found it to be a AN-8 instead of AN-10, winner.

Not familiar with the link , is it sequential injection ? Yes its sequential and coil on plug. The Link ecu was designed around the 1uzfe engine. If you have a screen shot of your fuel map that might help. I have lowered mine with reference to a Skyline base map.

Not sure if that's any help as I'm batch firing alternate banks 2 per Cycle . How rich is it ? Being sequential it should stand a pretty lean mixture quite soon after first start as it's not having to get fuel behind it the valve like mine is . My Saab is sequential and goes into closed loop after around a minute running

Just going to go over the settings and get the Lambda CL to start sooner and get rid of the cold enrichment.
I know the fuel at tick over should be between 20-30 on mine.
