A great thread featuring a real unique ride with inventive fabrication and recycling. It's got a 1930s engineer-in-a-shed vibe about it. The Scottish trip looked brilliant. 12v VHS player? I find it hard enough to keep a 220v one going! How about some larger headlights?

How about some larger headlights? Definitely want larger headlights. I bought the ones I have now about 10 years ago because I thought they'd look cool. I should have kept the ones I had originally! Also these small ones are terrible on low beam. Regarding the 12v VHS player, one day while we were in Fort William we found a hardware shop that sold those cassette player adapters. We bought one and connected it to the VHS player's headphone socket and had glorious Citroen ZX tape deck surround sound for the remaining film nights.

Very cool project! I run a kit/sports car place down in Hampshire, and we bought the rights to the SuperCat from Tiger. I started building one with an Mi16 engine in it, but it stalled a little while later, and the thought of dropping an XUD in there crossed my mind multiple times (mostly because I had one kicking around outside, as well as an R380 box from an LDV Pilot). Keep up the great work, bookmarked for more

Oh my, this makes my old Westfield SE feel like Corolla. Hope this still lives on and has seen more updates. Friends of mine have added motorcycle sidebags in sides of the rollbar, handy for roadtrips.

Hope this still lives on and has seen more updates. Friends of mine have added motorcycle sidebags in sides of the rollbar, handy for roadtrips. Yep it still lives on, no plans to ever move it on to anyone else! No MOT at the moment, although I enjoy driving it any month of the year so hopefully back on the road soon. The sidebags are a pretty good idea! One of the future upgrade I'm hoping to do is a full rollcage. That'll be handy for attaching things like sidebags etc

Photo shows old discs but new disc brakes, pads, refurbished calipers, new driveshafts now fitted. The calipers did their job for 30 years but started to bind badly. Bigg Red refurbed them to a point where not just dinner, but breakfast, mid morning snack, elevenses, luncheon, high tea, dinner and supper can be eaten off them. In good company: MOT soon, followed by supercharger.

Update! Been a bit busy: Haven't touched the car for a year but moved house and got on the ladder, garage to follow in the following months then I've finally got a home for her. Beats damp farmer's barns in the middle of nowhere

I've had some time to work on this for the first time in ages. Brakes are on and I've got the wishbones painted and new stainless crush tubes fitted. New wheels offered up:
