A now rare 1996 N reg Citroen ZX Volcane 2.0i in Black, we seem to be making a habit of saving old classics!
MOT until February 22nd 2015, tax reclaimed by previous owner.
There are only 33 left registered in the UK with the 2.0 Volcane spec, so this is now a pretty rare car.
It failed the MOT on not very much, and the owner didn't want to spend anything on the car as he had another ZX he would rather spend money on. A deal was struck and we bought the ZX, and what a good decision that turned out to be.
It only needed exhaust fixing, suspension bush replacing and a brake imbalance on the rear, and a couple of bulbs and now she is mot'd.
Utterly unmolested example, power steering, alloy wheels, catalytic converter, rear spoiler, electric front windows, electric sunroof, stereo radio cassette with code, alarm and keypad immobiliser, drivers airbag, leather steering wheel, central locking, sports seats, front fog lights, rear disc brakes.
The car of course has blemishes, the worst being the paintwork. Lots of lacquer peel, mainly on the roof, coming down the pillars, a couple of spots on the bonnet, a real shame as the general condition of the car is excellent otherwise. Rear wiper doesn't work, stereo digital screen some of the pixels are missing, remote central locking is tempremental on the plip, but works fine from key,'temperature gauge does some weird stuff, suspect the temp sensor needs replacing.
Lots of service history, pages of the stuff. Various Citroen related manuals, old mots, logbook, 2 sets of keys.
Had to take the daughter to Portsmouth, and opted to use the ZX, and it did the job flawlessly, done over 240 miles and it hasn't missed a beat.
At 121bhp, she's no slouch, and got to be a better car and quicker than any fragile Saxo VTR or VTS.
A true classic now, most of the mechanicals are the same as the Peugeot 306.
