Yes indeed frog, are you re using bottom bolts and nuts? My replacement block is going in untouched and il be de tuning if anything as I didn't get chance to drive it with 460 compared to 360hp Boost will stay at 9psi as it's spring pressure and try 400hp before going any further with a bit less ignition

Finally stripped the heads down fully, all ready for the vapour blaster. Valves seem pitted on their faces but seats etc all look spot on. Unfortunately house the flanges I had made are not quite right lol, I'm sure Nev will sort me out some more Also crappy is I made a massive tit of myself in incorrectly connecting up my new tig torch, got the gas hose mixed up with water hose, god knows how, I'm an idiot. Hopefully will dry out ok and haven't trashed the power lead with it not being cooled, only a short burst was done before I knew something wasn't right. Thought it was just gas issue. Doh

Thanks johnD More goodies arrived today, 😜😜😜 The mspro 3, wife and lambda kit and the cometic Hg's. Just wait On the ARP head studs now. Can't believe though that UPS left the package outside my front door! I'm still fuming and the dealer is not best pleased, 2k worth of kit could've easily been pinched!! apparently because I had ticked a box on the ups app for my last parcel to be left with no signature(£20 part) it is now the same for all. This one is insured for 2k with them, surely that would not be the case, ridiculous. Anyway left it In The hands of the dealer to see what happens. Also managed to get the engine parts to the vapour blaster who is cracking on tomorrow! Exciting times. A nice clean engine build.

Got the tig setup sorted finally, laid down a bead on some filthy scrap, wipe down and light brush over. Well pleased with the ck flex loc torch. So nice and light to use, with a lot more practice will hopefully get some real nice dimes on the parts I want to finish fabbing.

Spangly clean engine! Block is superb, has been dropped off at the local engine builders for a proper measure of the bores and so they can get some new rings too. And give it a thorough clean out of any fine media that is left from the vapour blasting, as it would be a right annoyance if all this effort was ruined by a little bit of glass powder left in the oil and water ways!
