Very nice project, The Manta A's are one of my favorites. I looked at couple before I bought my Monza but for the money I had to spend couldn't get a good A. Keep up the great work. I love your monza opelnut, been following your thread, good A's are like poor quality wobbly children's play pony poo, I did have the opportunity on a very nice one for 4k but decided buying a house was more important, glad I did.

Nice, looking forward to some more updates! Also, I recognise the cavalier, that used to be owned and was painted etc down here in sunny south Wales... a good long while ago!

Righty, Rather than press in the new bearings I used the old to carry on mocking up. Built up an upright Then bolted on a wheel and offered up a shaft, looks like I will need to shorten this side by around 40mm and the otherside by around 30mm, the shafts are the same length with the diff being mounted offset in the e28 originally. So with that established I cracked on with getting the diff mounted, after lots of options I've decided to use the e30 bracket that was welded to a subframe For the rear mount I'm asking for suggestions, as you can see needs to be hung somehow from the top member via a bush of some kind?

Maybe you could use an engine Mount from an old Jag.. XJ6 They are fairley simple! And you can get them in hevy duty or maybe poly.. This is from my car (Ignore the shims and bolt!) It's 45-50 mm in height! Love you build! Cheers from Denmark!

Cheers smeden, looks like a good idea with the lag mount, I've also come up with a potential idea with half a poly mount I have sat around, will draw a up a quick pic

Had a little spare time this weekend, been meaning to get cracking making my blasting cabinet couple if pics, it's ready for a glass screen now, need to create a hopper base to gather to old media and a door on latches and a seal. Got a LED stripp light to use and place in clear tube to seal it from blasting Also finalised the rear diff mount, can proceed with the wishbones next!
