My current daily 924 has a LSD fitted according to the PO, is there any clues to confirm this? It does handle better than my last one but has lowered, stiffer suspension and 16" wheels instead of the 14s. Doesn't seem to wheel spin like my last one or 'lose it' on my favourite local roundabout  ...how do I tell? Just wondering, cos I thought LSD's (aftermarket) were fairly rare on '24s? |

Jack the car up ,spin one wheel and look at the other if it's turning the same direction it got a LSD if it turns the opposite direction if an open diff.

Easiest and fun way is to drop the clutch and see if one or both wheels spin,try it on grass to save tyres etc.

Jack the car up ,spin one wheel and look at the other if it's turning the same direction it got a LSD if it turns the opposite direction if an open diff. only true for a plated diff. torsion LSD will act like an open diff when the wheels are off the ground. |
