Cutaway/sectioned engine
I bought this Vauxhall viva engine of eBay a couple of months ago, it was owned by a local technical college that used it as a teaching aid
Pics below show what it was like when i bought it
As you can imagine small bits have gone missing over the years from the carb etc so these have been replaced
All moving parts where greased when it was built and 30+ years of dust from workshop has stuck so a full strip down was needed to clean it
I wasn’t keen on the colour choice and the Paintwork was chipped and stained so it’s had a full repaint in tractol enamel
I’ve added to the engine by sectioning the gearbox and the timing chain cover more and adding a sectioned coil and distributor
Most of the internal parts had been chromed so they just needed a quick polish to get them looking like new

I’ll get pics of the other side soon, it weighs quite a bit and needs two people to move it

I think it's better in just two colours. Most things start to suffer when they involve more than two colours, really
