It is a good copy. Looks better in the flesh and does have a few genuine Ferrari parts. Goes pretty well too, with performance not far off the real thing- at least to around 70.
There is a very good 308 interior in the US for these cars too, but it is only for lhd i think...!

Really needs some absurd mock Ferrari badges; misspelled with a prancing zebra or something for irony. Better to have fun than try too hard. Enjoy it.

It does look better than I first expected tbh. I definitely think it's better to embrace it for what it is, rather than pretend it's something it isn't. Prancing donkey'S and Fakerri badges? Anyway, what are your plans?

Anyway, what are your plans? If i could get hold of an original spm badge that would be great, or even a mera badge from the usa, i would add that to the car to complement the ferrari logos. I do like the revised interiors you can get from the us either the 'euro' interior or more likely, the digital gauge conversion. Then change the interior seats...some gt40 style seats, then overhaul the engine and maybe one of the possible engine swaps... But it is a pretty car and thats why i bought it.

I worked on 2 fieros when I was younger 1 was a standard power 308 replica like yours and the other a blue gt that had a turbo conversion and was a bit of a beast, I've always promised myself one and one day I'll get one lol

I tell you what, that looks pretty damn convincing, and if that holds true for even diehard car idiots like us, then to Joe-public this is, to all intends and purposes, a Ferrari.
I've heard that the late Fieros go alright and that real 308's are abit of a pig to drive, so you may have the best of both worlds here.

Update 27 April Engine removed - not easy as very heavy lump, as it was dropped with the engine cradle, transmission, rear suspension and exhaust. Had to buy some car wheel dollys to carry the weight. Problems fixed when engine out: Manifold leaks and then wrapped Manifold and valve cover gaskets changed New spark plugs Sorted some melted wiring Fuel filter changed Rear tie rods changed New poly cradle mounts Replaced rear brake lines, pads and cables Repaired some rot on rear inner arch General tidy up of engine and bay New pcv valve Refitting engine requires lifting back of car high to push under the engine unit. Not the easiest job. Also fitted some noble seats, as they are lower than the old ones Still got to fix the rear handbrake, but runs better now.

The 308 is indeed a pretty shape, and yours is miles better looking than any 355 replica.

I've actually bought this car from a later owner (and messaged you doctor924). I am struggling to find experts on a 1988 Fiero that could help me work on the car It's an unusual car with an interesting history.

Never been a massive lover of kit cars but that could easily change my mind. Very nice.

You should do it, the wee fiero is a pretty cool car at my work we had a black 308 Ferrari replica and also a lovely later model that was silver and blue and had been fitted with 2 turbos lol it’s went well but mostly sideways, I’ve always wanted one and hopefully will get one at some point

Yes I would also like to see a thread of it, I don't mind replica kit cars really but always feel they let themselves down in the detail, but this is not bad at all.
