EXTERIOR
This outstandingly beautiful example is finished in stunning original Porsche Guards Red (code G1). The paintwork finish with its lustrous shine is nothing short of breathtaking and encapsulates the true magic of the 911 perfectly. There is no rust or corrosion on the car whatsoever with all panels being straight and free from damage, and the panel gaps are reassuringly uniform. All trims sections including the trademark rear wing and aerodynamic front bumper are spotless. The rear fog lamp housing has minor pitting and there is a tiny section on the front bumper where the trim has lifted slightly, barely noticeable in both cases. All further black plastic trim and window rubbers are pristine. The ultimate 1980’s object of desire.
INTERIOR
The splendid interior of this 911 Turbo is a delightful throwback to 1980’s supercar allure. The seats are finished in beautifully clean ivory leather with matching door cards and tailor-made carpet mats. Only tiny age related veins to the seat leather is visible upon very close inspection and the front carpet mats protecting the pristine carpet have only minor wear. The dashboard and associated switchgear is perfect with all functions and controls operating exactly as Porsche intended. The factory fit Panasonic stereo cassette provides wonderful quality sound through the original fit four speaker system. This is a handsomely appointed cockpit worthy of such a ground breaking automotive hero.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This air cooled, horizontally opposed rear mounted engine is the 3,299cc 221KW variant renown for bullet proof reliability, and that instantly recognisable engine note! A powerful turbo-charged engine with induction aircooler has enough grunt to reach 62mph in 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 162mph. The power delivery is exactly as you would expect and just as the manufacturer intended, aided seamlessly by the all-synchro 4-speed transmission offering light and precise progression throughout the range.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Ultimate forged alloy 16inch Fuchs wheels with unique colour coded Guards Red centres. The wheels are in outstanding condition with only four miniscule surface scuffs visible upon close scrutiny. Quality matching Continental ContiSport Contact tyres 205/55 ZR16 front and 245/45 ZR16 rear have masses of tread remaining. Powerful ventilated and perforated discs all round with four piston callipers offer outstanding performance under even the most spirited driving.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied originally by Dr.Ing Porsche Tourist Delivery in Stuggart, this example was first registered on 10th September 1985 to a Shah Jahan, Abm, of Hertfordshire. The original Porsche Driver’s Manual and Maintenance Record displays a collection of Porsche Main Dealer and specialist service stamps, the most recent being March 2013 at 50,369 miles. The incredible condition of this Porsche 911 Turbo leaves in no doubt the dedicated and fastidious ownership throughout its 28 years. A collection of previous MOT certificates and even an original sales brochure complete the history file. An iconic car worthy of its preceding reputation in beautiful factory fresh condition.
