New pictures at the bottom...
It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing this, but for sale is my 1994 Mini 35 Limited Edition.
I brought the mini ten years ago after reminissing about my first car. It had been looked after by the lady before hand and was only being sold as she wanted a new car to take her grandaughter in. I had the intention of using it as a daily but ended up spending a small fortune on it and only using it for shows then. First time I put it in for anything was the IMM concourse in 2006 and came 8th in the Best 45 minis. Unfortunatly I became that paranoid of it getting dinged or scratched that I barely drove it. It failed its MOT on the emissions being high (re: cat, you'll see why below) and the front near side indicator not working so I took it off the road and it's been there since As it stands now the handbrake cable needs fixing as the cam type thing has seized locking the handbrake on (has new parts included) and I think thats about it.
At some point before I brought it it's had the SPI engine replaced with a 1275 carb engine from a 1992 car. I've checked out the number on the engine and did have the proof for the MOT man but I couldn't find it last time I looked for it. Since I've had it it has had a full respray in its original Arizona Blue and lots of new panels fitted by a mini specialist (off the top of my head, wings, sills, boot floor, rear valance and scuttle) using original panels. It's had loads of new bits here and there over the years and I really did go nuts with it. There was a small scratch it picked up from a mini show so I brought a new bumper. A while later it had some new bits of the floor welded in by another 'specialist' but this one wasn't as special as the first. The new floor was welded over the remains of the old floor unfortunatly. It still sound and you'd only know if you pulled the carpets up. Before it went into my garage it didn't have even a spot of rust. It is very dry in my garage so I would imagine it would still be the same. I managed to find an original set of decals and a badge from the local Rover dealership when it went under which the decals are extremely rare. All of the current 35 decals you can buy actually came from my originals.
It has been about six years since the mini went into the garage and about three years since it was last run. With the best intentions in mind something else used to come up meaning I didn't get the chance to start it up that week. Can't believe how the time has flown by. It was in fantastic running order when it was and has a stage one as most do and a stainless exhaust system from the manifold back. There is no CAT which it would of originally had but that doesn't matter as the engine is from a 1992.
The interior is mostly standard, but all the bits that are different like the steering wheel, door furniture, etc. can be put back to standard if so desired as I kept it all. Carpet is still as new from Newton Commercial. There is a small chip in the windscreen flicked up from some tool at a mini show wheelspinning so I have a replacement screen and all the chrome bits for it in the car. Woodern dash isn't original and looks home-made. This is something that I would definatly change myself as I've never been keen on it.
I have a file about two inches thick of all the work that has been carried out over the years and old MOTs. I also have all the brocures for the 35.
I did put it up in the 'Whats it Worth' section but never had any replys so I've guessed at a price looking at the ones online currently. I am looking for £1500 for it, which I think is a fair price considering the work gone into it vs. the work it'll need and time its been off the road.
Please do get in touch it you are interested or if you have any questions.

Basicly it's the same as above now but a bit dusty from being stored.
