	yup- i could tell all the "regulars" were running low tyre pressures. one car which stood out for me was a standard looking mondeo ghia- it was jacked up at the back, low at the front, side exit exhaust and "1.8 16V" on the number plate. Didnt sound particularly tuned, and if my mind serves me correct it was running low 15's - I think it was the driver and setup which managed that B) I have no pics of my celica at pod, but its the shed which is in this thread: retrorides.proboards86.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=1157128411 It did me proud I must admit, ran well and didnt grumble all day. don't have the technology to hand, but heres a type up of my best slip: Reaction = +1.3451 60ft = 2.8290 330ft = 7.2518 ET @ 594ft = 10.1909 1/8 ET = 10.8448 1/8 MPH = 68.81 1000' ET = 13.8370 1/4 ET = 16.4888 1/4 MPH = 87.38 So, I'm not up on drag jargon either- so have a question. Can I now claim to be a "Low 16's" runner? Its just I believe that if you run, say, a 14.999 you say your running "14 secs" is that right? not really up on it.........

	14.99999 is running 14s, or "int the 14s" or how ever you want ot phrase it. Thats why "leading" numbers aren't that specific. Theres a lot of difference between a 14.99999999999 and a 14.0 tips... get your reaction time down by anticipating the green no t waiting for it to come on. do a burnout, check the stripe width. if the black stipe is narrower than your tyre then your pressure is too high, if its manky and too wide or like two stripes then the tyre pressure is too low. Don;t do big burnouts on street tyres (or circuit slicks) because silicone in the tyres bubbles up to the surface and makes them slippery. Just spin them enough to get the muck off really. Although I'm a fine one to talk. Big smokey burnouts are pointless but make my car look more impressive than it is. I can make lots of smoke but not great times. Powerful engine, too much weight... watch out fo faster cars starting late on T&T days. You can run your 15 and pull across for the return road nad "woops" theres a Pop which ran a 9 but left 6 seocnds after you up your inside.... I think they try to avoid this now.

	You can run your 15 and pull across for the return road nad "woops" theres a Pop which ran a 9 but left 6 seocnds after you up your inside Haha - whenever I ran in the right lane I just went to the end of the strip! I almost got rogered myself tho, some plank dived across whilst I was still doing about 60 and I was thinking about taking evasive but he got across in time!

Yeah, I have always run on a 0.400 tree, and dropping the clutch on the last yellow had always yeilded the best RT's for me, I consistently managed 0.440 - 0.520 where a 0.400 is a perfect RT. A small skid on street tyres is fine, if the staging lanes are dirt or gravel though, cleans the loose dirt and gravel off your tyres.
