Wheels + Suspension Height + Tyre Size = Stance If you get it right you are on to a winner,.. Lowest isn't always best. I could have picked from hundreds of Mk1 Golfs : Sometimes lowest helps though :

i was thinking the other day i should do a 'how to get it right' thread with examples of differant combinations working and not working and then explain why. but then i didnt want to come across as if i know it all so i didnt bother.
its like the whole big vs small wheels thing. That amazons a relly good example of big working better than small!

Yes that would have made you look like a know it all. That VW squareback is to low in my opinion.

The thing about stance is that its personal taste again, i cant stand the J look of lowering it as far as poss, i think it looks stupid where as others wont like the gasser 'sky high' look that i love. so there is no right way or wrong way to do it. Personally i think the rim and wheel arch curve should follow the same line as much as poss for a simple smart look.

Is all about how the wheels look in the arches imo rather than how low the actual car is.

Personally I think the rim and wheel arch curve should follow the same line as much as poss for a simple smart look. Stance is cirtanly not all about personal taste. thats a small part of it which is largely irrelivent in my mind Yeh personal taste might determine what YOU like but it is still a case of there being set rules that make the differance between good and bad in my experiance. The problem is alot of people don't seme to appreciate theres more than one way to do it. Theres way too many people out there who think what they don't like is wrong. Rather than seeing what is attulay wrong You can do it with small wheels or big wheels, low or high, lots of camber or no camber and you can have your preferance as to what you like BUT there is a set way that it works that your oppinion does not effect one little bit. Its getting all the differant aspects to work with one another thats difficult. Its got nothign to do with anyones oppinion its human nature i guess

I'm not so sure. Its my oppinion that pretty girls look pretty to the vast majority of boys but is that not also a fact? semes that way to me. Same applys to cars imo

Yeah but there will always be an exception to the rule. Some people find that girl from Titanic pretty, others just see a fat bird when they look at her. Some like size 0 models others just see a skeleton. Some would say my sceptre should be lower at the front than the rear, others would say it should be level and the Kustom boys would like the rear dragging lower than the front. I don't know what your experience is but all i'm saying is that if you write a 'how to' on stance you wont be able to please every one.

That's just a touch on the frilly side! A step too far?? Several. Not cool, not "hood", not "rat", just a rotten wreck that needs restoring properly or scrapping. Still, at least the Hoodriddance mob got me painting my VWs nice again rather than running the risk of being associated with that kind of caper...

That Willys just made me do a bit of a sex wee. Too shiny but other than that just perfect. Same goes for the 59 Daewoo.
