OK, so there is some prgress on the Chrysler.
As you may recall it went up to my mates place for a "quick win". Well, that was weeks ago and seems to be moving a long a little now at least.
Except some bits are needed.
No problem, I'll get the bits. So I phone Real Steel and order the bits which are basically a couple of blanking plugs, a heater hose adapter, a set of 4 carb studs and a thermostat housing as we discovered the stock housing doesn't fit the Edelbrock intake. I never asked the price of anything.
Well I have to take my hat off to Real Steel, they rang me this monring to tell me that they'd got everything out of the boxes to check it was all the right stuff and it all fitted together (they used an Edelbrock manifold from their stock to check) also to sway which mounting points to use for which bits as there are a choice with some of them, and to say that they have also chucked in a sleeve thread adaptor in case I need it. Oh, and the housing is £22 +VAT. Ouch.
Total order value is £66 +VAT.
HOW MUCH!
£44 for a few adaptors, blanking plugs and 4 studs?
I have to say I am impressed with thier sevice, and they are the only peole in the UK with this stuff in stock, but pls remember this next time someone (like me) tells you yank cars are cheap to run and maintain...
Anyway, shonky phone pics of progress will follow when Photobucket is back online.
