After a 35 year hiatus, caught the slot car bug recently Been getting hold of old Airfix etc blue-bombs and making them live on. One example. Colour ideas welcome Every real Marina owner in existance should aspire to get a stance like that, it sits really well, I tried to get an Airfix maxi converted to a slot car but it never really worked out. Who makes the van?

That's a great improvement in looks, nice choice of wheels and tyres. Are you going to paint the body and chassis to match?

These cars were actually my sisters (they had one each) when I was growing up. As such, I'll be keeping them like this for a little bit as I know they both would like a "nostalgic" race or two whilst they still look vaguely like the cars they remember racing in our living room throughout the 80's. Then, I would like to do some custom liveries on these...

Couple of Slot It cars. Think the Mercedes would look better with a wider real axle to fill the arches better.

Will be looking into it that's for sure. Hopefully there will be adjustment on them.

Wheels adjusted. Axle is plenty long enough so no idea why the wheels were pushed so far on. Ade wheels are indeed aluminium held on with tiny grub screws so not a drama to adjust.

That looks much better... and probably handles better now too. Would love to get my hands on some Slot It DTM cars This is my Slot It Lancia LC2 which I recently acquired to race in this months Group C class at the club track Untitled
