Hi All, Been helping my Dad tidy up his back garden again today, found lots more goodies... So - anyone know what this towbar is off? My Dad reckons it came off a Merc 'some time ago', he thinks a 70's model? (Ignore roof rack and tyres - I know what they are!) Next, found a load of these wheels - some painted blue for some reason? Says on them 13 x 5J, K and Engineering, Made in England, think it said 'Jupiter II'? They appear to have the same stud pattern as Beetle wheels as I compared them with a GT Beetle wheel I found. Any ideas on value? Next - found three of these wheels, 15 inch steels with 5 stud fixing, look like they're off a 4x4 judging by huge tyres? Any ideas? Anyone got a Commer PB? I believe this is a 'new old stock' driver's door for one, with a fair bit of surface rust now unfortunately! Also found piles of other stuff, these undertray things for VW Bay Type 2's, anyone know what they're worth? Finally for today I stumbled upon a full fibreglass flip front for a Beetle, it's like one piece which includes the bonnet and wings, with standard headlights mounted in it. Didn't take a photo as I need to clean it up - anyone know what it'd be worth? Oh, also - here's that roofrack and the wheels I found the other day, cleaned them up to do an ebay photo - the rack holds a lot of stuff!

The alloys remind me of SKoda for some reason. and those steels look like povo Suzuki Vitara. Don't know why I know that!

Now you mention it, they do look like Vitara wheels don't they? Well spotted!
Alloys I thought were a bit like 'Scala' ones on old Scirocco's?
Also remembered I found a couple of 13 x 4.5J Nova steels, the ones with the triangular holes. Do they fit anything else do we know?

4x4 rims are definitely povo-spec Vitara (but will fit a Niva and Daihatsu Fourtrak/Sportrac as well I believe).
KN made Jupiter/Gemini alloys back in the 70's.....I should think that Skoda GB fitted them to boost the image of the 120/Estelle.

I had KN Jupiters on my original estelle. Looked great but RUBBARSH for being porous. Mmmm, flat tyres. Again.

Skoda and VW Aircooled 4-lug wheels are indeed the same PCD. Not sure about centre bore though as I've only ever seen VW wheels on Skuds, never vice-versa.

Centre bore is approx 1mm different, IIRC, but most of the time there is enough 'give' to make it work. The reason you don't get the 'vice versa' is that skoda r1mZ are 13in, which look daft enough on Skoda's, but look immensely silly hiding in a beetles arches where 15in wheels would normally sit. Problem with beetle > skoda swaps is that beetle r1mZ are usually pretty skinny. 15x7 on an estelle is A Good Thing in my book.

Yeah, on a beetle 15x5.5 is 'normal' and 15x6 is 'wow, really sporty man, far out!!'.
Didn't realise those pictured all the way up there were 13s, the design is pretty good and it doesn't look as cramped as 13" alloys usually do - you can't really make the hub or outer rim any smaller so you're left with little room for 'design'. Had I bothered reading the wordy things between the pretty pictures I'd have seen the size written loud and clear!

So - what are the Skoda wheels worth roughly? Six of them with tyres, not tyres that I'd trust or risk an MOT on but they've stayed up, flaky blue paint on most wheels and they could do with a clean, but good general condition.

i don't want to inflate values or nything, but i paid £100 for 6 of them a few years ago. bearing in mind i live in NI where anything over 2 years old is impossible to find...
also, i then managed to buy a car with a set on (see sig) then picked up another half dozen of those wheels for about £5 each, 1 or two at a time, cant mind where i got them. mostly the same condition, some better.
and then i got a set of the even rarer 12 spoke version for £20, which were clean and detailed already.
they're worth whatever the trend is at the minute. i believe the trend at the mo is to stick with originality, which works both ways with original wheels, but still changing from the ordinary alloys...

Thanks for the info, will make up prices accordingly! Slightly off topic - but does anyone know what PCD fits a VW T25 van, are they the same as a Beetle?
