My new toy, OK I know that bright yellow pick ups with CROWN wearing frogs on the seats are not to everones taste but:- I have really only had a chance to give the car a good clean. Will have a full service next week. then time to sort out the tin worm that seems to love these trucks so much :-) Grinding, cutting and welding time. My real plans are to get her up to scratch, as not many really tidy Funs left now.

Tin worm not as bad as I thought. I attacked it with my trusty wire brush attachment. I was pleased to see nothing was structural only surface rust, so out with the rust converter and P40. There are a number of bits of damage on the bumpers with some big cracks. They were attacked with a Dremmel, held tightly together with cable ties then repaired with fibre glass. Front wings treated with rust converter repaired with glass then filled. Letting dry overnight then out with the sanding blocks before paint.

I have been busy killing of as much tin worm as I can :-) Surprisingly not as bad as I thought. Car had a good service, long overdue I assume by the state of the oil and plugs. Changed leads cap and rotor just in case. While under the car I discovered it also needs a radiator  , also a new pipe that runs under the radiator, the leak has dripped on the pipe for a long time and it is corroded really badly. Hopefully one of the clever ones here can tell be what the pipe is called, The steel one seen in the picture below.

I have been told (briskoda) that it is the power steering pipe. I will take it off to inspect the damage 'fingers crossed'.

That's great, can you still use the fold-out rear seat with that hard top fitted?

New radiator ordered (£20 delivered). I removed the old one today. looks like I need a fan housing now too. The radiator looks rather knackered. Next job today was to spray the strutt brace in yellow (mustard like the bumpers) matching the rest of the car. Slowly coming on.
