rare from the factory? None of mine are really, I suppose the 411 would be the rarest. Rare now? probably the Rapid, I think Daverapid said to me there are like 25 left in the UK? When it was checked a couple of years ago there were 43 registerd in the UK. Still sod all really! mine will probably have been a 411 too. just done that vehicle check thing for my old rapid, details could not be found. does that mean its seen its demise? *edit, no it just means i put the wrong reg in. Date of Liability 28 08 1996 Date of First Registration 05 06 1986 Year of Manufacture 1986 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1289CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour BLACK Vehicle Type Approval null still might have been scrapped, or one of our resident skoda pervs may have it on his drive.

spacekadett, have you got a mccoy kit car? my mate has a white one, and he,s just sold a red one!!!!! some bloke came over from ireland and picked it up!!!!. I'm only in harwich Thats a little spooky The one I bought ( 'bout 3 years ago I think) is red. He wanted a faster one and bought another one with a MG turbo lump. That one's white!! This chap lives in Mount Bures, near where I work.

Mechanic's rule #1... If the car works, anything left on the floor after you finished wasn't needed in the first place

Had a VW Type 3 1600E FUY808J with injection back in 1987/88, pretty rare now I would think. Date of Liability 01 04 2007 Date of First Registration 01 03 1971 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1584CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status SORN Due to Expire Vehicle Colour WHITE Vehicle Type Approval null Good God it still exists!!!!!! Also had a 2-dr 1600GT Cortina ONN676F back in 1992-94...not that rare in itself, but only the pre X-flow 1500's and the X-flow 1600's made between August and November 1967 had the Lotus-spec Panhard rods on the back, and mine was registered in November. Date of Liability 01 04 1999 Date of First Registration 21 11 1967 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1599CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Export Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour YELLOW Vehicle Type Approval null The information contained on this page is correct at the time of enquiry. Was red when I had it, think it got reshelled and used in Historic Rallying. I'll put me anorak back in the cupboard now!!

I wouldn't say that Rapid was majorly rare. And if you include my dad's cars then this is definately our rarest: A Genie Wasp. I don't think any more than 10 kits were ever sold. [they were based on MK4/5 Cortinas]. Our's is even rarer because my dad specified a Lancia Twin Cam when he built it, which means the engine mounts are different to the majority that used the Ford engines. We've also had a Dutton Sierra - when was the last time you saw ones of those? And one of those Hunter based Ginetta's: Ooh, and my favoritest motor ever. A Lancia Beta HPE VolumeX. My dad owned that during the 80s

I think that J was the changeover year, so could have been series 1 or 2. Stainless grille, flat bonnet, no side chrome trim and no vinyl on 3/4 panels is easy way to tell at first glance from outside. Pete Correct. Think G is the earliest for a V8 although I have seen a factory F plate. Ian
