I think it has turned out great.
It is nice to see something a little different done to one.
On the wheel hot topic I think they suit it very well with a small hint towards what was previously on.
It is such a shame all the negative they are getting, especially with all the effort going into it, please keep it up.

Wheels ruin it in my opinion, and the 2 tone paint looks like its had cheap sill repairs. Great, thanks for that. Can't say as I like it either, but its your car your way etc. If you do something a little bit different then its bound to divide opinion. As a scribbler I thought you'd be prepared for that. |

If you think posting your work on the internet would only ever get great positive feedback, you are very naïve. Roll with the punches, its nothing personal, you should see my car history I doubt you'd like them all and I wouldn't expect anyone too. |

Erm... OK, thanks for the advice. Wasn't trying to get into an argument about it. Just seems odd that you'd come on here and say to someone 'I don't like this thing about your car, and also I don't like that'. Do you go into your friends' houses and slag off their curtains?

On a different note, I didn't like the wheels, I do now  I can only imagine they look even better in the flesh too. Also, why aren't all cars two tone?? It just looks so right! |

I will comment on something if its what I feel, I mean no offence and most don't take offence. In my case it was not advice merely an observation. I don't feel that I 'slagged off' your car, clearly you a sensitive soul who likes adoration, so lets hope that nobody suggests you are a heathen for doing all this to a phase 1 1.9, or that the 1st incarnation of Retro Cars was better than the 2nd |

I've not found another FWD pocket rocket that you could steer on the throttle so effectively... ignoring for the minute that its class mate is actually the 309 rather than 205, 16v astra gte fitted those criteria. i genuinely find it interesting that in a 205 those characteristics are exhilarating and dynamic, yet the history books deemed the astra heart stopping and dangerous  Hmm - never drove a 16V Astra GTE - only drove the early 8V which whilst a competant car wasn't steerable on the throttle possibly the extra weight - subsequent hot hatches I've owned like Polo GTi have also not had the same dynamic abilities but have felt wooden..... |

This is so much more interesting than most modified 205s, good to see some individual thinking. Some people won't get it, but that's ok - we modify cars for ourselves after all.
For me the wheels suit it perfectly, like the originals but with more width. The two tone is inspired on a 205, and makes me wonder why it hasn't been done more often. Looking forward to seeing further developments.

Like It (wheels especially). Get some Wurth Plast-PT In the appropriate colour for you bumpers (mine were supposed to be grey (Phase 1.5)). Its expensive but it works well and seems to last. |

i heat gunned mine (as in domestic paint stripper heat gun) makes the plastic sweat and takes them back to OE colour. only lasted a couple of weeks though   |

Interesting - I guess that's a more professional proposition than good ol' Back to Black? Yeah the 205 bumpers seem more resistant to traditional methods, the Wurth stuff is like a dye or thin paint. Makes printer ink seem cheap though (~£35 for 75ml!) |
