 I was just wondering if there's any interest in Cressidas. Fourth generation I believe. My folks have one, like the picture only beige sort of colour, lhd, 1990, automatic and a little sun bleached inside as they used to live in the Caribbean. They keep it regularly serviced so it runs fine, it's clean if not immaculate but they were thinking of getting a new car and would probably just take this to the scrappers!! As I say, I have no idea if there is anyone who would save this, I mean I personally don't think it's particularly special but then it's not my cup of tea really. Any thoughts? |

Cool cars, and very popular to modify over in Japan. I don't think we got them at all over here in the UK. Toyota made do with the Camry and the Previa for their large car buyers. I believe the model code for these is GX71?    Not the exact model (although I suspect the one you've pictured might be different from your parents car anyway), but you get the idea! |

A guy at the top of my road has a 92 Cressida which I think was imported from South Africa and I've seen a couple of 70s ones here but not recently.

There will be plenty of people to buy this I don't think it's in the UK. Even if it was I doubt it'd be an easy sell. It's in sunny Cornwall at the moment. My folks shipped it back from the Caribbean with them several years ago. I think there's very few classics/retro rides that are an easy sell at the moment anyway. |

I'm not. I'm just looking into it as my folks are looking for something newer. I wouldn't let them scrap it to be honest, I'd rather give it away for them if it came to that. All my funds for motoring go to my Capri so I can't keep it going...and there's many other things I'd like first anyway...MANY other things.
