I'm sure i've seen an Escort with these on before. Does anyone know if these Cortina/Capri/Escort mk2 wheels will fit my Escort mk3 without any problems? I'm thinking of fitting these: To this: It came with these Fiesta wheels on which are ok... I'm trying to give it a classic retro vibe, any other wheels suggestions welcome to

One of my mates ran them on a Mk1 Fiesta without any issues, and I ran 14" Sierra 2.0iS steels on a Mk3 Escort many moons ago, so can't envisage any problems there.....

Yeah i know these things are usually interchangeable , just concerned to buy some and they don't fit. I think i might have to do an ebay jobby. There doesnt seem to be any around the Manchester area to go and look at.

They'll fit, but they won't be right. They have the wrong offset for a FWD, and will give you handling issues, & also overload the wheel bearings.

some exceptions are sierra and other modern RWD which have a similar offset to FWD

That was me, I got the idea from Bristol Street Motors who were doing special edition Fiestas and Escorts with them on in the early '80's. Depending on which offset you get, you may need to roll the rear arch lips, especially if you slam it.

My mk1 Fiesta 1.3 Ghia came with what appeared to be the same alloys as my mk5 Cortina Ghia so should be ok. I even ran the cortina on mk4 Escort alloys for a few months.

I've got some retro KN Diamonds in 13" flavour if you're interested? They were on a mk4 1.1 escort.

Thanks for the help guys. I was looking at the fiesta versions but they seem to be 12" wheels, guessing with a fwd offset. Maybe I could chance the Cortina ones and see how it works for the car.
Thanks for the offer on the KN Diamonds but I think I've got myself set on the Cortina wheels.

If you know anyone going to the gathering, I've an odd one here I can drop with Brian so you can try for size.

Mk 3/4/5 cortina's all run et35 offset wheels. which is pretty much standard ford fwd offset anyway.
