Coming for the Weekend? This year we are using a different entrance to the campsite. Its the one we intended to use last year but the weather forced us to change plans. If you arrive with Prescott on your LHS, the new entrance is a little further down the road. If you arrive with Prescott on your RHS, the new entrance will come before you reach Prescott/the old entrance. Basically, its where the big grain store is. Of course, it WILL be signed if you haven't been before.
Arriving on the day? Are you in a pre-1991 car? NO -> Park in public parking. YES -> Follow signs to Club Parking if you have a club stand pass. Follow signs to Retro Parking if you do not have a club stand pass.
Did your Retro or Modified car not make it to your Club Stand so you bought your daily driver instead? -> Park in public parking.
Just so we're clear: Club cars can be post 1991, particularly if they are modified, we'd just rather you didn't bring your standard daily driver on to the club stands, however your super slammed/modified whatever is always going to be welcome, particularly if the overall club stand is within the ethos of RR.
Ensuring that that ^^^ is followed will keep things moving quickly and get you into the show faster. There will be people in orange 'crew' Tshirts along the road to point you in the right direction if you really aren't sure.
And just a reminder for the uneducated - YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING PETS INTO THE CAMPSITE, PARKING AREAS OR SHOW VENUE. This includes dogs, cats, ferrets, chinchillas and parrots.

Oh noes!!111 On a serious note: How does the new entrance cope with low vehicles? (I've not attended with a low car before so I'm paranoid lol!)

Post-1992 cars have always been allowed on club stands, however I believe the caveat is they need to be cool/interesting.

If it's modified and it's on a club stand, it's fine. If it's modified and it's NOT on a club stand, then there's a separate Retro Parking Area which is part of the show. If it's a stock 1991-on car, then it's probably better to leave it in the public car parks. Otherwise the place ends up looking like a 1996 Asda carpark photo. As far as I understand it, gates open for exhibitors at 8am Sunday. The public car parks open at 9am. I'm sure the hard-working gate staff would appreciate your early arrival!!

I would like to know about the low ground clearance issues, small twigs can be an issue for my car!

I don't believe post 1992 cars are allowed in retro parking regardless... There's been common sense discretion applied in previous years, but I imagine that it's easier to say all cars pre 1991 or whatever as it's hard to quantify common sense to the public

I would like to know about the low ground clearance issues, small twigs can be an issue for my car! Camping field is a little bumpy, but nothing a low car can't handle. Show field , although sloped in places, is smooth and flat.

Quick query - I'm coming in a dull modern Alfa and camping for the weekend. On the Sunday do I have to move my car, or can I leave it parked up in the camping field until I want to go home or do I have to shift it over to the public car park?
Cheers, Martin

There's been common sense discretion applied in previous years, but I imagine that it's easier to say all cars pre 1991 or whatever as it's hard to quantify common sense to the public I think the big problem this year is down to sheer numbers. 800 cars is a helluva lot to fit into that field in a couple of hours on a Sunday morning. I'll use my own discretion on our club stand, we've got a dozen interesting cars spanning 1978-1998, most of which are competition vehicles. Another's an iconic mass-produced supercar from the early 90's, and there are another pair of identical late 90's competition-inspired rarities. If it's looking like space is at a premium and people won't be able to get up close and/or photograph them should they wish to I'll be leaving my BX in the car park, 1989 or not! The show's what matters, my participation in it isn't an issue for me. I'll be having a brilliant time anyway.

Cheers, Martin Up to you really I believe. I'll check with Keith as worrying about parking and camping is mainly his concern at the moment. Obviously we'll want you out of the campsite at the end of the show.

Your car can remain in the campsite whilst you enjoy the show, no problem. As David said, once the show ends the campsite winds down too - so it's time to throw your rubbish in the skip and make a move for home )
