This was my first 924 and I loved this car. The only car I have owned that I want back. Has a different reg number now as this one was a private plate. Its on a c reg with brown pasha interior.

These two are fantastic! Turns out 924s work really well when pared back to basics with some aircooled influences. Thanks for letting me see them in a new light! Would probably commit heinous crimes against humanity for a nice 916 too.

I have a thing for poor mans porsches, but for me it'd have to be a 986, just a shame they aren't that cheap!
edit, just noticed i've got my numbers wrong, so porsche geeks will think I am on about the 1st gen boxster, when I actually meant to put 968! doh

I would love to have mine on the road again, but its not looking very good these days and has been off the road for several years with a starting problem. And for all the beaten up body work, peeling paint, missing trim and generally falling apart interior I still really loved taking it out for a drive. Back in happier days. Jan 2010 (though you can still make out the ripply dented door and wing)... And a Photoshop EmDee did several years ago for me based on an idea I had... Would still like to make that a reality one day. I have had it started and driven it round the block with in the last few weeks. Occasionally it starts but generally it doesn't turn over well enough to start even with a new battery. -Steve-

924 is such a great shape, superbly engineered, and well built. Originally designed to be a VW, a Capri/Manta it ain't. I'd love one, certainly on the shortlist.
I don't agree the Boxter's just for people who can't afford a 911 either. The 911 is a quirky car that doesn't make sense to everyone. And for various reasons (it doesn't have the balance of a 924 for a start). The 911's obviously changed over the years but for one it wasn't designed to be a convertible. The Boxter was, and it shows.

I've always hated the phrase 'poor man's Porsche'. Implies that you're not a proper Porsche owner unless you've got a 911. It must be really annoying to own a Boxster or a Cayman, having to constantly justify your fabulous car to pub-bore cretins.

And a Photoshop EmDee did several years ago for me based on an idea I had... wow - now that's an idea, make it happen! I've always hated the phrase 'poor man's Porsche'. Implies that you're not a proper Porsche owner unless you've got a 911. It must be really annoying to own a Boxster or a Cayman, having to constantly justify your fabulous car to pub-bore cretins. I feel the same way everytime someone see's the Capri and asks whats under the bonnet ("is it a 3.0/2.8?"..."no it's a 1600")

The 924 is a great car and it's exciting to see such a scene building up for them now! How about a Carrera GT rally car? 924 Turbo's are good fun on ice too. SUDDENLY TURBO. Oops. There's loads more 924 images on my site in my signature too
