You have done well! love it! YOur car and pictures are fantastic , it all works so well. I think the sills are better black, the car looks longer and sleeker, as well as period and original.

Hey Ben, good to see you on here!
Keep the sills black and get rid of the black paint on the front valence like you're planning!

Thanks everyone, I'm glad it gets some appreciation Yeah the thinners will be out over the coming weekends to tidy the body work up, I am also buying something to finally finish the interior off, I will update when it's in. One of the rear hatch pins snapped off the other day so I have placed an order with Porsche for a few parts. More updates to come soon

I think it's time for you to update the picture in your signature too. I agree, I sold the red mk2 years ago! Small update: finally collected a few parts this morning from Porsche. Just waiting on a fuel filter to turn up and it's had a full service. The tailgate lock pins were in an awful state and one snapped last week, I couldn't adjust them either as they were in such a poor state and the tailgate would make loads of noise.....not anymore!!! (Thank god) Cleaned all the mounts up and fitted the new pins straight away, it's made an amazing difference :-) Also replaced the air filter I love the presentation you get when you order genuine parts too

One word; lovely! Ok...more than one then...stunning....gorgeous..... and how about beautiful..!!
It's great to see 924's getting some attention as they really are underated cars. I've just missed out on a mint 924S Le Mans with a ruined engine as their 'mechanic' said that they could drive it to him for repair after the PS pulley fell off.
Regrettably, and almost inevitably, this led to a loss of oil pressure and one ruined motor! The car only had 60k on it, was really stunning and someone picked it up for £400..... I was gutted as I have a mate with a rotten 944 with a strong motor and we could have made something really special out of it.
As it stands I think that the guy bought it to break for spares....what a waste!

After not going to a retro rides show for a few years I can honestly say I was missing out....best uk show at the moment!! Had an amazing weekend and still can't believe the beige thing won car of show Small update... Finally finished the arm rest and quite pleased, just waiting for the glue to dry on the leather bolsters I made. It's started to run a bit ruff when in low revs so have finally ordered new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotar arm to hopefully solve the problem.

Nice touch with the cassette's in there :-) My E30 had the individual cassette holders next to the handbrake: I was gradually filling it up - Run DMC, Beastie Boys, etc..

New to the site (found it after seeing your car in retro cars mag)...fancy doing a similar ipod install on my 24...any more details on how you did it? I'm currently running the original blaupunkt with a cheap cassette adaptor to run my ipod which just sits on the center console and sounds curse word tbh
