Full bodyshell.. and this was supplied new from Sweden for this Racecar but the quality is far from what I was expecting.

However it will soon be glistening and looking Lush.. then back down the Essex for assembly and Decals!

a Friend of the Workshop has dropped his Pride and Joy off as some curse word little kids egged him as he drove past during Bonfire Night.

Its surprising what damage it can do !!!!

Also rear spoiled is off as it was scratched but that's his own fault!

While its in we are also color-coding the Calipers..

Since Firefly are far too busy to update their own thread, I've decided to do it for them today. Hope you don't mind Kristian!

Firstly, he painted a motorbike for me and smoothed out a cheat line and I think it looks awesome and secondly, he sorted me out by repairing and painting my Porsche after my neighbour drove into it. The quality of workmanship is ace and I would recommend using him to anyone.

We had a E28 in for some basic repair.

The bonnet leading edge had some bubbling rust, so media blasted and repaired and painted.

Nice and cheerful repair.

So Our customer wants these Flared and Vented arches all in Steel and Faithful to the picture.

( Which turns out to be a photoshop.. )

Its obviously a look which keeps the lines of the car but has a dramatic effect.

Now the picture is impossible in real life. In the sense that if you viewed this car from the side, the lines would be all wrong.

However after Serious thought/discussion into the design and a good bit of trial and error, I believe we at FIREFLY have succeeded in re-creating the look, and virtually identical to the image, while working in real life.

Theres a few changes that have been made since these pictures were taken. Primarily to the very bottom of the front wing openings.

The Lines have been very hard to come to a decision on. You can go one way and make something work, but it affects the look elsewhere. So certain aspects have to happen in real life. For instance, the rear arch has to protrude over the rear bumper. Its a quirk of the look that actually has merit and looks good in my opinon, now that the look as a whole has balance and form.

Re-creations of the above image has actually been attempted before around the world to varying levels of success. No one has ever come to the level I believe we have here.

We have some 20'' BMW wheels in for a Refurb that we positioned for MOCK up purposes.

.. Hopefully this shows off our level of Old skool Fabricating Skills, and our Determination to get our customer what they want.

Going to be an AMAZING car 500BHP Plus!
