	We found out today that the river was at LEAST 2.7m Higher than it has EVER BEEN recorded and the River monitering station was WASHED away after 11.30 am approx. Being there in person, we know the river and floodwater continued to rise until its peak around 2pm... ( Check the GOV for the River Irwell and LIVE FLOOD WARNINGS on the .GOV Website for further details. How its not much more mainstream news is baffling ) All recollections by people who have been here for years are of the river ever 'flooding' in the past has seen an inch or two in each unit..this obviously would be a pretty non event for most of the garages. But according to our measurments today.. say 2ft higher than since records began would have seen a couple of inches in my unit. But the 7-8 feet higher than ever before has resulted in complete devastation. This is a life changing event.

	Big update tonight on the salvage and clean up. I have an appointment with a council rep @ 11am tomorrow regarding some relief funds towards the clean up and recovery. We've had EVEN more donations from suppliers of everyday materials to get us back in our feet. Ian @ Wigan Car Paints opened up just for us and donated a car load of stuff!! £500 worth easy!! John at GRP UK Ltd opened up just for us and donated further stuff!! Tim Mason from Proworx the body repair consumables suppliers CAME DOWN to the workshop in person and dropped off a few hundred quids worth of stuff!! Incredible

	Hi guys, So I had fully intended on creating this massive, detailed post with the full story in detail of what happened, the recovery and salvage operation. The new workshop and what Firefly has managed to achieve. Times flown by and with life and work getting in the way I've just not managed to get the time. So tonight getting into bed I've decided to at least make some effort to update. As this forum has been a huge resource for myself in the past and I know a number of members would love to see how things have moved in for us. Suffice to say the buisness is STILL recovering financially, however it's also stronger and more capable than ever. Due to an astronomical amount of work and support from some of our suppliers and customers.. So to keep things moving I'm just going to glaze over things and move quickly to the present day. This means I won't have to allocate huge time to updating the Thread, and I can just update accordingly with small bitsized nuggets. So here's a number of images from the flood damage. image upload no limit We actually moved a number of these vehicles to the new premesis and they were completly re-finished and rebuilt over the following months. The new workshop has taken a considerable investment but now boats a full downdraft 'SprayBake' paint oven, GRP rapid prototyping facilities, fabrication and restoration tooling and now 4x members of full time staff. We're selling GRP Aero products of our own design all over the world, as far as NZ, Japan and America. We have an EBay shop on which our popular GRP products can be bought

	So here's a few pictures of some of the finished cars that ate actually in these pictures in the flood devastation. 7-8ft of fast flowing 'water' full of debris and filth does cause a lot of damage. In addition there's some random pictures of some of the work we've been up to including the building and installation of some new facilities !!! ( not cheap!) . Not in any chronological order but soon as I'm up To date there will be regular updates 👍 image sharing sites
