he also said that you can park across someones dropped kerb as long as their car is not on the drive. Thats a crappy thing to do to anybody, how do you know the drive doesn't belong to someone in a wheel chair who can't get access to their property any other way? Or who has a car in the garage? Or failling that someone who is going to put the window through and let the handbrake off to shift it when they get home. Try not being able to get out of your own drive to go to work in the morning and loosing a days money because of this - yes the police did shift it but it was too late by then.

Yeah, it really is a tricky one. I'm currently in the situation of being 'the complainant' quite a bit, and the end is in sight with that situation.. Having the sanctity of your own home threatened for whatever reason is a horrible feeling which is why I'm suggesting the root of the problem is possibly more important than its knock on effects. I hope you get it all sorted amicably. You know the council is on your side due to the amount of petty complaints he's made so you've got the upper hand opportunity to ignore that stuff for now and try to sort the basis of the problem out with him. Have a lucky dip Volvo from Google

I'm not saying I would, I'm saying the councilor said it's not illegal to park against someones dropped kerb if there isnt a car in it. The police will only do something about it if a car cannot exit the driveway. The said neighbours wife is in a wheel chair, my mom is disabled with degenration of her ankle bones and struggles to walk, so I understand what you're saying. And care nurses that go to next door park in front of our drive, so my mom cant get back on, so I wont be doing anything like that, merely stating facts for people who find it necesary to go down that route.

All of this really goes to shoe how stupid and petty the world is becoming. No offence to anyone but, if something is causing you concern speak to the person about it and work from there. On a personal note, we have 3 cars 2 vans and a big trailer in the the garden, all road legal...the chap across the road from me has Camper fetish, another chap has a transit addiction, we live in a decent respectable area and (touch wood) nobody has every complained about any of our homes.
Hopefully things will be sorted soon.
