That does look a bargin 17's work well on them, i'd like more dish on mine, but they do fill the arches well but I would like some 16x9's like mine used to run or sumpcracker runs on his

What kind of offset is needed to run 16x9's on them? I've contemplated the same wheels as sumpcracker to be fair

I'm not sure, on the rear of mine the arches have been pulled and flared but I think on sumpcrackers they are just rolled

Cool. I like the style of the 15" speedlines that are on it but there is just far too much tyre!

Cool. I like it a lot.
If you get round to changing the wheels, I'll happily shod my 80 in your Speedlines ;-)

Few more pics now I've given it its first coat of polish in a while, still needs another going over. The condition of this car amazes me. Hardly a mark on it at all, no rust, interior shows no signs of wear. So do I just go lower profile tyres and more of a drop or do I change to 16's or 17's.

I think I may well paint the sills red as well to match the car rather than the black stone chip paint they are currently.

Right so this weekend I picked up a s2/v6 coupe front bumper which is deeper and more aggressive looking than the standard b6 avant bumper Before After Also picked up a leather sport steering wheel and a set of vdo gauges from a coupe to fit in centre console (oil pressure, oil temp and voltage)

Funny you mention that. At weekend I got a standard airbox from a breakers yard. All fitted now

Blimey £350??!! That is a lot of car for the money. Definitely agree on spraying the sills red, I'd do the front spoiler too. Keep us posted.

Right so a little update Removed the hideous plastic 4 spoke steering wheel and replaced with a 3 spoke leather coupe version Old New Then I fitted a set of vdo centre console gauges After this I machine polished the whole car using a portercable and poor boys products. It's now actually a lovely red rather than pink! Check out the cloud reflections! Final thing was i picked up a 5th speedline wheel. Absolutely mint, Next stage is power upgrade, I've done a few turbo conversions on cars in the past but I think the v6 in this needs a supercharger conversion. Therefore next step is to find a good used eaton supercharger.

Ta, it's not what I want ideally but I'm limited by fact that due to not being able to ind a lockup and only having space for one car at our property I need a car I can tinker with but one that I can also use as a daily and for going in holidays etc.
I've also lined up a full quattro drivetrain/rear subframe/axle, fuel tank, box etc for it. Conversion involves some welding of additional brackets and the like too on the underside but nothing too taxing. Should be picking up the parts in next week or so
