STOLEN DELOREAN DMC-12- St Helens 10/6/2013 Car was stolen from a driveway mid-afternoon on the 10/6/2013, the car is a restoration project and with minor ignition parts missing so a trailer/truck would have been used in the theft. The car was not UK registered however it is Delorean VIN 2311. A very unusual car to be stolen and any sightings or information would extremely helpful in recovering this vehicle for the owner.

It appears that the publicity of this unusual car may of prompted it being “dumped”, its missing it wheels and has light panel damaged (suspected vandalism). However it has been returned to its relieved.

Maybe it was just borrowed so they could retrieve their friend from 1885. When they arrived, they were caught in the crossfire of some cowboys and injuns, which explains the panel damage. They also severed a fuel line with an arrow. After realising there was no fuel to power it in 1885, they decided use a train to get it up to 88mph. This would explain the missing wheels due to the need to fit ones compatible with the train line.
Just a thought

timbaker thats f...ing hilarious, straight up just nearly wet myself. anyone who knows st.helens will tell u every other vehicle on the road is a flat back tranny full of washing machines, bedsteads, old bikes etc... driven by young men in bad vests, trackies and slip on shoes with wedge haircuts that like to shout "ja like dargs" in thick irish accents so leaving such a large lump of aluminium outdoors is asking for trouble. very surprised it wasn't cubed within the hour. good result tho

Brushed SS304 stainless steel. Except for three cars plated in 24-karat gold. Painted DeLoreans do exist, although these were all painted after the cars were purchased from the factory. Several hundred DMCs were produced without stainless panels, for training workers, and are referred to as "black cars" or "mules", in reference to their black fiberglass panels instead of stainless, though these were never marketed. The stainless steel panels are fixed to a glass-reinforced plastic (Fibreglass) monocoque underbody. The underbody is affixed to a double-Y frame chassis, derived from the Lotus Esprit platform.
