just doing some sanding and painting today, including, painting my front bumper and kamie spoiler in satin black ;D made a start on painting my split rims gloss black, and also started on the merc split rims i don't need  also gonna clean up my carbs cos i think they're frosted up a bit anyone else looking forward to an automobile filled weekend ? |

oh yeah i just weighed my split rims and they weigh 8lbs minus the centres, as opposed to 12lbs for the merc split rims !

Was looking forward to polishing. But now it's raining  So I think I'll just get a new battery in and sort the throttle linkage on the hillman, then maybe go and fiddle with that frickin' skoda for a bit - at least that is undercover! |

Well i was going to be painting my lotus-cortina steels, but got them back from the shotblasters and its revealed cracks on a couple of em... ive been burned maaan... bluddy osf.
Had it up to 'here' with trying to find reasonably priced lotus steels in a reasonable condition... thinking of an alternative.

guz you seem to strike lucky with campers! i cant find one cheap anywhere, the ones that are only worth breaking for parts, i don't wind welding but not replacing half van, although your looks pink it don't look bad |

I`m gonna mangle out the remains of the floor carpet in my Rekord coup, staring hard at it should do the trick, its pretty much disintegrated  Then i will go and cry because of the amount of rust i will find under it |

jobs completed for today: put 1st coat of satin black on the decklid painted another rear drum for my split rims painted a set golf alloys broke my compressor, and the bought the wrong bit to fix it . . . twice  |

So far this weekend I've mostly been rebuilding the fuel pump and replacing fuel lines on the bus. Then we've got a day of welding tomorrow.

Well, today I dropped off this  The 18k from new Astray, and collected this  '82 Hondamatic Civic. I love this car and I've been driving it all afternoon ;D. Unfortunately I can't keep everything so I think it'll have to go  . Expect updates.... Sunday going to swap meet at Arena Essex. Monday I shall be poor!! |

Boring boiler fixing stuff today but then watched the Lunar Eclipse. Didn't expect it to be Retro-related but then I took this one - looks a bit car like to me!  Going to look at an H van tomorrow. A day out in the Mini. Will keep you posted... |
