Here: www.universal-salvage.com/It's in Sandtoft North East of Doncaster. Loads of stuff from Maxis to Mercs including a very tidy Crystal green X Plate 2.0 Ghia Cortina, two RS Turbos, a Mark 1 Escort, BMW 2002 etc. Get a parking space ready! ;D

Hmmm, not too far from me. I might go for a nosey. Then again, I might get tempted by this... Nearly identical to the last one I had and I miss it badly (well, the fun factor)

cortina has no v5, is detailed as a manual, it is an auto and has already reached its potential

Yea there's a US auction in Sandy about 15 mins from me as well.....Bad place, can't go there - would come back with about 10 cars ;D

There's a Riley Elf AND a Wolseley Hornet in there!
The Cortina might be sold to a banger racer - they pay good money for them now :-(
I quite fancy one of the 3-4 Merc SL's there. That'd be a keeper, always fancied one.

Remember, pre-registered trade bidders at Universal only. Now who here has an account there?

In the list under damage if there is no initial (ns, f,r) does it mean that there is no damage?
Now, do I have that day of work?

don't forget to add any buyers premium, transport costs and VIC / registration fees to your bid price. Its not like eBay... Anything thats Cat... listed has the V5C withdrawn by the DVLA to stop it going back on the road until its been inspected. A chap I know was at the last one they had and commented that a lot of cars seemed to sell for more than they were worth when you add the additional costs...
I think the better bargains are the more expensive cars as there is more margin there. If your "extras" add up to £300 or £350 then even if you get that dented Mogiie Minor for free its an expensive car by the time you get it home and paperwork done...
Capri looks clean but you can still get nice 1.6 Lasers for 3 figure sums. I assume its a 1.6? There wasa clean 1.6 in the admag a few weeks back for £595 T&T. I didn't see it but a mate did and was tempted.

Ohhh yeah forgot about that, transporting should be ok, as I will trailer it away if they let you. Humm I have a real hankering for a Capri like that, ebay seems a bit over-priced at the moment.

You're absolutely cock-on there A-K. I'd be tempted to 'gamble' on the high-roller stuff, like that Ferrari 328... with bits of trim selling for 4 figures you would have to be spectacularly curse word not to make a good profit on that.

I think trailering away on the day is fine. I'm sure thats what Alan did last time.
