	Well, as we have "Love for the Mk2 & Mk3 Golf" threads and I can't find one for the Mk1 Golf, I thought I'd start one. Please post all that is awesome about the Mk1 Golf here... Here's a cool one that's actually for sale on R.R. just to start the ball rolling.

	I had a V reg 1.3 GLS and a A reg 1.5 Auto. Both great cars and "when push comes to shove" nicer than the G reg 1.8 GL auto MKII that replaced them. Paul

	I pulled it from a scrapyard last November and repaired a lot of rust in the shell. I replaced the 1.6D & 4-speed with a 1.9D & 5-speed. Dropped on TA Technix (EBay cheapie!) coilovers, renewed brakes throughout, Fuchs reps and 165/50R15 Bridgestones. I deliberately left it multicolour but "hammed up" the replacement passenger door, making it look like it came from a commercial van. It won the "best Rat" prize at the Limerick VAG show last Sunday, where the photos were taken
