Wrong picture i'm SURE but if its owt like that it will be my last trip to CARS!  I'm sure it wll be similar to last year, retroers doing their own very chilled thing. be a shame to lose a growing great show. We may even enjoy the night bit, however if its the GTIers camping maybe not. any one been to the GTI do? |

I can't make the official R-R show in August due to a selfish mate getting married that weekend, so I may have a look along to this one, however that pic is not very encouraging!!!! Looks like a barry fest.

CaRS was organised by Classics and Retro Cars mags. This is organised by the pod (as far as I'm aware). Its not car focused anymore either, it is Retro focused ... The pod have the carwash at loads of the shows held there, and its been a regular at vw events ...forever! i hate it, and ive said so to organisers for years .... and i know David feels the same which is why there is nothing like that at RR07. I'll be there though. Hopefully the quality of cars will be good, and it's an ideal time for me to get flyering! |

Sorry, i sort of know that, so much reference to CARS last year is etched in my brain LOL. I realise too that under new management it may not be the same exactly. theres bound to be a spill over of last years attendees, so it may be pretty good, even if we turn up do the camping/boozy thing again friday night, do the sunburn show thing saturday, and skidaddle if it gets a bit chavvy, thats all we had last year timewise, so nowt to lose. See you there on th RR stand at RS@P  ;D |

Where did that pic come from then? Blimey! looks like a mad house to me! Never saw any of that when I went last year!Hope it will still be a good show !

they will have taken that pic from their archive of shows that currently have the carwash as entertainment.
you wont have seen it last year because CaRS didn't have it. Obviously the Retro Show will ....

in year 1&2 there was the Retro Cars Show (off the back of Retro Cars mag)
year 3 it was the Classic & Retro Show (CaRS, off the back of Retro Cars and Classics Mag)
this year the pod are doing the Retro Show - as far as I'm aware, organised by themselves and with no mag input

To be honest the "entertainment" part doesn't really bother me. I've been to plenty of shows where the nightlife hasn't been to my liking. Sat around a barbie with my mates (new and old) and a few crates of lager, and I couldn't give a sh*t about what's going on in some tent somewhere ;D

aye! the dat! hopefully be convoying up with that again this year. However, if its as much of a chav fest as it sounds, i dout ill bother, which is a shame as I'm in spain when RR07 is on!!! it could be a no 'purely retro contect show' year for me! |

don't think that it will be a chav fest. thats a little harsh i feel. just cos its got a carwash, they will still be aiming the show for retro fans!  btw - RR07 is SO MUCH better than Spain! ;D |

I guess if they allow camping on the friday night, then that evening will be very much like the CARS evening. However the saturday night I guess a few of the "Said crowd" will join. Personnally me and my mates will be round the BBQ having a laugh both nights, but no anywhere near that bunch!!!

As I recall,last yr it was serious hot at night ,so opted to go only for the one day (Sunday)as I knew it would be too hot to sleep in a tent !
