I really like steel wheels! I wouldn't mind getting hold of some as a second set for the Merc. I'd have to find some 16x8's though which might prove challenging! I know modern Mercs have 16's but quite what width they are I dunno!

Whack them on a low spec Chevette and they'd look good..btw theres a orangy Chevette saloon going for £875 at a garage in wellingborough, i've taken a quick look around and it looks absolutley mint, contact me if you want details on the garage etc

Where can I get some tyres with that sort of aspect ratio!!!! I've recently bought a set of Cromodora 13" factory Alfa alloys for my car to use for dragging (they cost me $36 NZD by the way ;D) and I want to find the lowest profile tyres I can to fit them so I can lower the gearing..... No one here can help me out though  As for the rims... I can see them on a Mk2 Escort more than anything, I can see and HEAR the car now.... huge induction noise from a set of big DCOE's, sitting at the legal limit off the deck (100mm) stripped interior, pair of Racetech bucket seats, candy red paint, four huge ra;lly spotlights on the front.....  |

100mm aint enough. You could almost halve that as long as you got a cert and can have 35mm of suspension travel

The Fiesta is in my head, but maybe one day it'll be real.
Snoozin', the 175/50/13 is generally used on Minis...do they not run Minis on 13s in NZ? I'm surprised you can't get them over there.

 Hytesta's old Fiesta on 175/50s, before it's ocat of BRG was applied. I can't believe I actually want a Fiesta ;D. Although it could be a Panda, or a Micra, or a Ka etc. I chose a Fiesta as the wheels were Ford fitment. |

My (virtual) Euro-Resto-Sunny is on 7x13 split-rim Revolutions with colour coded centres, chrome spinners and mirror polished rims. |

Pictures of the Cromodora wheels would be greatly appreciated,.. I have a "thing" for them they're costing $36 plus costs for me delivering them which shouldnt be more than a couple of hundred ;D  The largest factory wheels we got on minis were on the 1275GT which are 145/??/12. There is very few 13" minis around, the tyres are really expensive and hard to get hold of, though I cant say Ive tried but thats the experience of other people I knew that had. I never had trouble with 12" |
